View Full Version : 100% raw in Montana
:) This is my first message board from my first computer. I'm open for any and all support and would love to make new friends.
I've been on Dr. Cousens's phase one (no nuts and seeds) for 30 days.
I've been on this raw food path off and on for 10 years and just keep getting more and more into it.
There aren't a lot of raw people in Montana so I thought I would venture out into the world and find more.

Hi Edie and welcome
I think you will find that Alissa's aproach to raw is the best because there is no other restriction than "make it raw". After that anything goes.
Welcome Edie!
We're glad to have you here... and there are an increasing number of raw folks in Montana... I'm sure you'll hear from them soon ;)
Wished I lived in Montana.. :p
Welcome Edie, You found a great place here.. :)
Got back from The Tree Of Life Rejuvanation Center a couple of weeks ago. Did a 7 day juice fast, the Whole Person Healing , health evaluation with Dr. Cousens and the Zero Point Process. It was great ! Anyone out there been to "The Tree" Read any of Gabriel Cousens books, Seminars etc. ?

Hi Edie and welcome to the forum! Yeah, another raw foodist in Montana, how wonderful.
My friend and I are in the process of opening a raw food store up here in Kalispell, including a prepared raw food take out service, smoothie bar, dehydrated goods, supplies and equipment, Alissa's Living on Live Food preparation courses and Certifications, Nia fitness classes and more.
I have discovered quite a few people into raw around this area and down through Helena. Eventually we will have a network and an annual Montana raw food bash. How fun will that be! Perhaps I will get to meet you eventually!
My best wishes to you on your raw food journey edie.
Warmly~
Carmel

Carmel, How Exciting!!! Good luck with that, although I'm sure you'll do outstanding, and if I'm ever in Montana, I'll have to find my way over to you!!!

Hi Edy,
Welcome to this site. I live in Utah--not too far for you. I am wondering what do you eat in the winter? This is the problem I am having. I am trying to start on the raw way, but not sure what to do in the winter when fruits aren't as plentiful.

Hi Edy,
Welcome to this site. I live in Utah, not too far from where you live. I have a question--what do you eat in the winter? I am just starting to do the raw way and am concerned about what to eat in the winter when fruits aren't too plentiful. Also when you just need something to warm you up.
Thanks for your help in this matter.
I JUST DROVE THROUGH UTAH ON THE WAY BACK FROM ARIZONA...ANYWAY I FIND WHEN I AM RAW I DON'T GET AS COLD. I DO DRINK HERBAL TEA W WARM WATER. I ALSO HAVE A THYROID PROBLEM WHICH MAKES MY TEMP QUITE LOW. MY SUGGESTION IS TO TRY SOME HEBAL TEAS PEPPERMINT, GINGER (WHICH IS QUITE WARMING), CAMOMILE ETC. I KNOW DR. COUSENS HAS CLIENTS IN ALASKA THAT ARE RAW AND DO FINE. YOU DON"T NEED TO BE 100% baby steps is always better :) I used to make blended soups, like squash and it would satisfy my cooked cravings. The raw way is a journey enjoy it don't make it to dificult :) GOOD LUCK! edie
