I have more Fantasic news for all of you. I had the lemon juice two days with a teaspoon of raw honey with it and both days I lost weight. 1 lb the first day and 1 1/2 today. So that brings my total to 21 lbs gone and I still have like 8 days left one the 30 day challange. I am so happy about this lifestyle change I made. So Please Keep them posts coming I just love the pats on the back. I read everyone of them too. I am Hooked on Raw!!! Good name for a book too. I juice two lemons and put it in a quart size glass, and drink it with one teaspoon of raw honey. It helps to melt the fat, so you can pee it out. Anyway give it a try, It will work for you too. I am Hooked on Raw....

Have you seen Rhio's book called, "Hooked on Raw", yet? She's a raw teacher in NY. Her book is full of recipes, also. I know you said you bought a boat-load of books the other day. I was assuming maybe her's was one of them. Maybe not, eh?

The Master Cleanse Lemonade is just like this, Douglas, 'cept you use the cayenne pepper to do some burning. :) My "powerhouse" area is very, very warm right now. I can see this being a very COLD Winter morning drink.... just to take the chill off. :)

Did you know that cayenne pepper 15.000 heat units can save you if you have a heart attack or stroke? just one teaspoon in some water and drink it down. It opens up your arteries and clears any clots very very fast and can save your life. A good thing to keep around for sure. Doug in Calif..... :)

Am I the only one who likes the juiced lemons without a sweetener?

Hi,
Should the lemon and water be taken in the mornings or thoughout the day?
I am eating raw and would also like to know if I can continue eating along with the lemon and water?
Thanks for the good info.

You mean you're to take it if you _feel_ you're having a heart attack or stroke; or is that as a preventative measure?

Ann,

First thing in the morning as a wake up juice is good. I have to remember to keep doing that myself. I will have some all day long - if I feel I need to. It gives you a different "feel" to your body when you've been on it for a few days.

Raw lemonade is actually an alkalinizer , so don't fear the "acid". Cook that lemon.. and you have problems. :)

I started the lemon juice and water drink today. squeezed half a lemon into about 1 cup of water. I'm not sure what the measurements are, as I've heard lots of different ones.

I was walking around this early morning with quite a funny face from the drink. People were laughing at me. lol

When you use agave to sweeten the lemon water, does the water still have all the benefits? or is it better to ahve it unsweetened?

I will squeeze one or two lemons in a large thing of water. I worked up to this level because of the initial Pucker Factor, but I"ve gotten used to it.

My husband uses the agave when he makes a pitcher of the lemonade for the family, I don't know if agave does anything "bad", per se, but we know that there is only one (?) brand of agave that's truly raw.

( rolls eyes at so many details sometimes, but... perfection is in the details )

Doug, You're doing fantastic!!!

ReneeSC, I use the raw agave that I get at Whole Foods. It sits right beside others of the same brand that are not labeled raw and are way cheaper.

This week I've been having a quart of lemon or lime (2) in a quart of water with some agave. I'm really liking it because I have it up until lunch time, then have a big salad. I'm getting to see all the times I would have reached for a piece of fruit or a few nuts. I have to say that I've been feeling a great mental clarity at work all week. I'm going to try keeping this up as it's a good way to get in a quart of fluids in the morning as well as doing some cleansing.

I've heard about the cayenne and heart attack thing. Trouble is, people have heart attacks at the strangest times. I think it would be better to carry around the tincture. I don't know if that would kill me first, though.

Does anyone have issues with teeth sensitivity and the lemon drink?

It's so funny to see all this popularity on lemon water! I've been drinking unsweeted lemon water since I was a kid! My mom always made us drink a big glass in the morning and 8 glasses of distilled water a day while we did our school work! It was hard to finish all of the water sometimes, but it did establish good habits!

Smileen, if you're having tooth sensitivity issues with drinking this lemon drink, it might be best to drink through a straw so that it goes more directly to the throat instead of coming into too much contact with the teeth!

But also, if you feel the need to do so, drink (or rinse your mouth with) water afterwards so that the citrus doesn't just sit on your teeth...in fact, I believe I read that anytime you eat/drink citrus you should do this.

Douglas, you GO boy! :D

Hi,
Has anyone been drinking the lemon water long enough to see any weightloss changes?
I take it first thing in the morning as way of clearing my throat and my system from the night before. It seems to help me feel like I'm starting a new day fresh from the inside.
Looking forward to see if I drink it throughout the day it may have other benefits.
Thanks

Ann

I've been drinking lemon water for years also, even when I wasn't raw and I've never contributed it to losing weight. (I've been over weight my whole life) I just think it tastes better than plain water and I drink more water when I drink it with lemon. Maybe people have lost weight b/c they are increasing their water consumption when they add lemon?

One of Richard Schulze's ideas (he use to be known as Professor Cayenne), is to always keep a bottle of cayenne tincture and a bottle of lobelia with one at all times. The cayenne is for stroke/heart attack; the other is for panic attacks. Lobelia is supposed to be calming.

IF you keep powdered cayenne at home and someone has a heart attack or stroke, then do as Doug says.

Cayenne can also be as a preventative measure.

This may be stupid but do you put the honey in the water or drink the water and eat the honey off the spoon?????

I blend it with the lemon juice and water to make a lemonade, but I think Douglas eats it from the spoon separately while he's drinking the juice. Either way do what you fancy, because it's all ending up in your mouth around the same time so it's going to have the same effect. :)
