The day before yesterday I finished a gall bladder flush. I fasted for 3 days on apple juice and apples. Then I took Epson salt water twice in 2 hour increments. Then around midnight I drank a cup of good olive oil with lemon juice. I curled up in the fetal position and went to bed. I took more epson sajlt water in the morning. In the early afternoon I had one BM. The rest of the day nothing happened. I was surprised. Around midnight 24 hours after drinking the oil, I started having diarrhea. But there were no stones. I've had more diarrhea today but no stones. I'm sort of disappointed and puzzled by these results.

ya I don't do flushes. Just doesn't feel like the right thing to do to my body.

I've read about the flushes but it just didn't make sense to me to do it. Why not just do a juice cleanse or just eat very simple raw foods like only fruit and vegetables? Or, maybe you didn't have anything to flush. Why did you think you needed to do the flush?

There are a couple of elevated enzymes on my liver blood tests. The doctor said I could have a gall stone blocking the bile duct which wouldn't have shown on the ultrasound (which looked fine.) In addition, I had some kind of painful attack about 9 months ago which could have been a gall bladder attack. So I thought I'd try the flush. I know people who have done it and released gall stones. From my understanding, everyone has gall stones.

It is my understanding that the gall stones that people release during the flush are actually little "balls" of the oil the person just put in their body.

I'd also like to address your gall bladder pain.
I used to have horrible gall bladder attacks and my gall bladder always felt swollen (I could literally cup it in my hand). All of that went away when I started eating all fruits and vegetables.
Unlike other raw foodists, I rarely eat nuts or seeds.
I just love my fresh fruits and veggies...juiced, smoothied or whole!

VeggieMel - The stones may have been caught up in your GI tract in some food that was still digesting. Even if you fasted for three days there will still be some stuff in there. If you really want to see em then consider colonics or enemas during those days you were fasting, and then one the next day sometime after the flush. There's a pretty detailed book on the subject titled, The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse by Andreas Moritz. Keep up with the flushes they're worth it...not exactly my most favorite thing to do, but very much worth it.
I just wanted to chime in on something walnutty said about the stones only being from the oil that you drink during the flush. There were quite a few things that convinced me that gallstones are really being released and it's not just the oil clumping up. But one that I recall at the moment are; people who have done liver flushes consistently, eventually reach a state where they get no more stones even though they're still using the oil flush, so IMO I don't believe it's from the oil. And another thing to think about is the fact that gallstones actually exist, it's pretty commonly known, so it makes sense to me that you can dilate your ducts and cause your gallbladder to dump bile and push out stones. I've felt my gallbladder squeeze quite a few times so I can tell that excess fats make it go to work. Oh, one more thing that convinced me that gallstones come out and it's not just the oil, there are other ways to do gallbladder flushes that don't involve any oil, and you still get stones out that look just like the ones you get out when you use oil.
Raw plant food is amazing, but IMO it's worth it to assist your body to remove gunk by using simple strategies such as the gall/liver flush. Would you rather have all that gunk out in a year or in ten years. Just my viewpoint anyhow.

Wanted to add something......
You can take herbs in between your liver flushes that will help break down the stones, which will assist in the whole process.
I'm sure there are a few different types of herbs that will do it, but one herb that I know of is chanca piedra. I have it in a tincture and it's called Stone Breaker.
And of course it sounds like you know about malic acid because you were fasting on apple juice. You will probably have to look it up for yourself, but for some reason I think green apples are higher in the malic acid. Grapes are also good. It's actually in all fruits, but some have more than others.

Thanks for all your input, everyone, especially you, fastfreedom. I found your posts very illuminating. I may try the flush again sometime and try some herbs in the meantime.
I did a liver / gallbladder cleanse earlier this year and expelled about 35 stones. I don't have a gallbladder anymore, so these came from my liver. I passed stones for almost 3 days.
Flushes are hard on the body, so personally, I wouldn't do them more than 1-2 times per year if I had to. Also - FWIW, I did my flush without the epsom salt.

Thanks for sharing. So, did you just fast for a day or two and then do the grapefruit olive oil?
Or maybe you did a salt flush? LOL, Inquiring minds want to know!
I've done them twice, and each time I did it for two days because nothing came out. I did do the epsom salt and did them during the middle of raw juice fasts.
