Has anyone ever purchased their raw nuts? They are a lot cheaper than Nature's First Law but they also sell a lot of candy and yucky stuff!!!

Hi! I haven't ordered the raw nuts before but I am about to! I have ordered dried fruit before from them and it was great! Did you notice the prices included postage? :)
Check out the organic raisins! 5# for 17.00 postage included :)

I am so distraught with items such as this. Is it ok to not choose organic--if they do not state organic then the product is not--right?? Someone please help I am so confused with what to choose sometimes  . Are nuts different?? Are they grown and shipped differently then fruits & veggies?? Thanks

I used them and liked them - and didn't care about what else they sold because I wasn't buying it. Grace!

There has been a recent post on this forum regarding raisins -- click here!! (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7579&highlight=raisins+organic)

In that quote, Secret Heart mentions:
Please please make sure they are organic...Gabriel Cousens (Conscious Eating)had a chart with the amount of pesticides on average for various foods and non-organic raisins were THE HIGHEST with something crazy like 110 pesticides.I had read elsewhere that raisins were one of the highest foods for pesticides. Non-organic peanuts also were ridiculously high in pesticides.

Any dried fruit that i buy simply must be organic, sulfites and other stuff are too common on/in them.

I agree, if there's one food that you really *should try* to get organic it would have to be raisins.

So say I buy 5lbs of their almonds, how long does that keep for? I don't know how long it would take me to eat that much!

5 lbs will be devoured way before the shelf life expires; especially if you soak 'em and use 'em to make nut milk, nut butters, etc...
