I have fallen off of the wagon and am having a difficult time getting back on! I hate the effects of cooked food, but I keep manipulating myself into eating it. I LOVED being raw and was not bored. I remember that intellectually, but not emotionally. Heeeellllp!

Don't be discouraged. Sometimes the call of the old stuff can be strong.
You can keep on going!
Do you have Alissa's book or dvds? If so, pick a favorite recipe and make yourself something scrumptious! The date-nut torte is always easy, quick, and a rich favorite! (Our family loves it. It's a hit with all the children!), make your favorite smoothies! Whip some cashews and dates together and shape it into a bar for a "lara bar" type of treat. Get a big salad and whip up a dressing.
Surround yourself with yummy treats, fresh fruits and other raw things that you enjoy!
I'm rooting for you.

Hi Sweetie,
This is my second attempt at going raw. I too was a slave to the "Cooked food Monster". In the past I loved mashed potatoes and cooked brown rice with cheese but now finally I found that I could leave them behind.
Don't beat yourself up over it, just one day I decided to try again and WOW it happened 14 days ago I made up my mind to leave cooked food behind and with all the great recipes I have copied from this forum to take the place of the cooked foods I loved I have no need to go backwards.
All the old recipes have been replaced by new raw ones and I don't feel deprived at all. I've very excited when I can make something and it turns out right and it looks good and taste wonderful.
Print out some recipes for food that you loved cooked from this forum and try it you'll love it I'm sure, it worked for me.

Once you get on the Raw food for a bit, You start to feel so good, and stay with it for awhile you get that nice satisfied feeling when you eat and feel very light too. Plus you do not crave more food. Then if you shoud happen to eat some cooked foods, you will notice that you don't feel so good from it. That is what got me going full time with Raw food eating. Plus you have many here to answer your Questions are cheer you on. Just get back to eating raw again and you won't be sorry Doug in Calif.... :) ;)

I know it's cliche, but I keep saying to myself, "absolutely NOTHING cooked tastes as good as 100% raw feels" then I generate how great it feels and WILL feel after I've been raw for a couple of years, really get into that feeling, and after that the cravings are ALWAYS gone.
