For those of you like me who get this type of question when prople find out you are a raw vegan, here is an article I ran across that will help answer these type of questions:

l get more pre-digested protein in my diet than the average flesh eater gets in a week apparently, even my green drinks each day contain enough protein to feed the average American for three days. Most people don't exercise and have poor muscle tone (l would guess they are protein deficient), and l don't exercise but l have good muscle tone. l have never had good muscle tone until l went raw.

l love it when people ask me those questions. My eyes light up, l rub my hands and l take them apart. *wicked smile* But what l do is take it much much further, l talk about the benefits of phytonutrients in raw and talk about how they are doing themselves a disservice by eating cooked food. l always grind their bones and bury them, and their eyes get wide as dinner plates. lf you dare take me on about raw, you are gonna LOSE!!!

Thanks for being the poster boy for eating raw! You are an inspiration.

This came up today at the first aid course. They were typically entrenched in the protein paradigm. I didn't push it because I was trying to prepare for the practical assessments.

He did not include sodium on this list and I find that and Vit E to be the hardest to get.

Wish I had you on speed dial for when people do that to me.
They normally tear my argument to pieces because confrontations make me anxious which cause me to draw a complete blank. I have never been a good debater!

I just don't talk about it and avoid confrontation.

l completely understand. When l started out in raw l was like that too, l always got anxious and drawed a complete blank. lt takes time to lop heads if one is diligent....experience, thinking, time for learning and all that. When you KNOW you are onto the truth, nothing will stop you. Knowing is one thing, but really knowing is something completely different.

lt's very easy to get cut down when talking about raw, so much attention needs to be paid to the arguments most likely to stop you in your tracks. When you do come across good arguments, it keeps you on your toes and makes you learn more...it gives you some good direction to study and overcome the weakness in your knowledge. This is why l like the forum...it makes me see the weaknesses in some of my arguments and makes me look into things more carefully. Learning about raw is like climbing a ladder...one step at a time.

The best way.
