Ok so I've read about the saltwater flush and that it's the same medium or something as our bodies so it doesn't absorb onto out bodies. Something like that. Is this true? My absolute favorite juice recipe right now has salt in it and I've only made it once because I'm afraid it will make me retain water. I want that juice again so bad!

So, should I avoid it?

We all need salt. If you are craving that particular recipe then go for it. Up your water intake the rest of the day as well then you won't retain water.

Celery has a lot of iodine, you can use this as a salt. As you are doing your fast, you will notice that you won't tolerate the salt as much and will cut down.

During a fast, it is best to restrain from salt, seasoning (except for cayenne pepper) and fat. Salt will lead to more craving also and make it more difficult to do your fast.

You will be ok to restrain from it, it is always great to take a break from it to reset your body. I found that after a fast, i didn't want anything salty after getting use to no salt.

All the best!
