After several years of use my HM is DOA. I was using it last night to make frozen sorbet with frozen berries and it POPPED! Smelled like electricity and never came back on.
I DON'T reccomend it any more! The warrenty is out.
I will be buying the Waring Pro64 or Vitamix if on sale in the next day or so.
Bummed about the$$$ but it has to be done.
