I got my first young thai coconuts on a whim today, thinking I could have the water. I've never had this stuff before, not sure if i'll like it or not. Can I juice the meat, or is that a nono?

also- have any good recipes using it? I know I've seen some, but thinking that I couldn't get a YT coconut, I disregarded them. Hm.

I drink the water. Very yummy. I'm not so keen on the meat. I would use it in smoothies and recipes if I had a blender. At the moment the dogs eat the meat. I get mobbed when I open a coconut!

Oh wow! I didn't know dogs could eat it. Lol. I could drink the water, give my chubby Pomeranian a piece and freeze the rest for smoothies. ( fasting). Thanks. :)

MysticTree!!!!!! OMG!!!! That's like GOLD!!!! And you give it to your DOGS!!! What!!!!!

I also drink the water and use the meat in Smoothies, but you can do SOOOOOOOO much more!!!! You can make wraps for Raw Sandwiches, make icecream--the REAL stuff, julienne the meat for Asian Salads, make Pancakes, make Bacon, use it in my Raw Suchi Rolls, make REAL Chocolate Pudding, Soups....OMG!!!! It's just ENDLESS what you can do!!!!!

If I'm not using it right away, I freeze my Coconut water and Meat. It freezes very well!

Hope that helps!

Renee, sweetie, I would if I could :) I have no electricity so no blender, no freezer, no dehydrator etc! If we get a generator I might make better use of the meat. I do love my dogs though and they love, love, love the meat.
