Hi Sweet Raw Friends! Would you care to share what you're eating for dinner in the summer time? Your top few choices? Lately, I actually find myself eating fruit for dinner. That's unusual for me. Obviously summer time is the time to really rejoice with this way of life!

Hi Stina,

Yeah, the summer is awesome. If I plan to just chill on the couch, I typically go for a salad and an avocado. If I am going to be active after work (I have been playing tennis lately), I find fruit really jives with exercise.

Gazpacho (other raw soups as well, but gazpacho is my favorite summer soup)

Zucchini hummus with raw veggies or raw crackers

Caprese salad (sliced or chopped tomatoes, basil, EVOO, raw cheese from cashews or macadamia nuts)

Fruit salad

Lots of salads, lots and lots of them. I've also been making mexican fruit salad - slice up papaya, jicama, watermelon, coconut, cucumber, pineapple, honeydew and squeeze lime juice over it them sprinkle with chile and salt.

I just found a great seasonal recipe for Tomato Rawvioli - I posted it in the recipes section too but its just too good not to share, especially since tomatoes and basil are in season and abundant! http://therawcardiologist.com/tomato-rawvioli-with-pesto-sauce/

Right now, I have been eating a lot of dehyderated bananas and watermelon. Nothing to heavy. Tonight I am going to have raw Tomato soup and most likely some of those good bananas

I eat more lightly in the summer, salads mostly and more fresh fruit than usual but I've never been much of a fruit lover.

Raw soups are good.

I crave richer, heavier foods sometimes too but in general I'm a salad fiend.

Fruit mostly. Depending on which month. Last month it was watermelon, lots of watermelon! Now it's figs. Or if I have time to make it, I may have some raw pizza, or flax seeds crackers with olive paste and cherry tomatoes. :)

Hmmm...I don't ever eat "meals". I just eat when I am hungry! Sometimes that is grazing all day long and sometimes that's lots of fresh veggie juice and then a salad. I don't really eat that much different in the summer. The fruits that are available in the summer, though, makes it easier to eat lots of them, especially watermelon!
