I just made a fast spicy hot snack. Here is the recipe.
Hot Cashews
1/2 C cashews
1/2 t cayenne
1/2 t celtic sea salt
Place ingredients in a ziplock bag and add a just spritz a little water in the bag for moisture (not much, just a tad). Shake the contents inside the bag. Pour into a small serving bowl. Now you have hot cashews, just like the SAD ones, only raw.

Cool. I'll give these a try after my next shopping trip. I'm completely out of cashews at the moment. Thanks Samuel.

I made something similar but used a little olive oil as the adhesive. Good stuff.

Alrighty then... I'll give the Cayenne a try ( though I'm big on spicey, I'm not on _hot_. Maybe I"ll cut it with some chili spice )
I'll just marry the concepts and see what I come up with. I don"t have Samuels"s iron stomach.
These are great! I used half the cayenne and they were still delicious. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I just finished off a serving of these and they were great. In fact, that's the first spicy thing I've tasted in over two months!!!
Here's my entry from my livingcookbook software. I snapped a picture too...
I scaled the recipe to make more with the click of a button:

Ahhhh... This sounds great. Sometimes you just need something more exciting than plain soaked & dehydrated nuts. I have some cashews just waiting to be spiced up. Tonight's snack is now planned: Firehouse cashews and Orange Creme Smoothie to cool me off... Mmmmmmmm....
I always look forward to checking out your new concoctions. :)
Thanks for sharing!
