Will doing avocados for juicing screw up a juice fast?
I just bought an omega 8005 a few weeks ago, and I haven't tried putting avocados in there yet.

I think avocados are better for Making smoothies. They don't really juice all that well and their fat content might be better avoided whilst fasting.

It’s difficult to tell this to someone who considers juice going on a fast is a bargain, not actual going on a fast. But I can tell you juice going on a fast is as extensive these days as normal water going on a fast.the purpose for this is not apparent unless you have an knowing of what goes on in our bodies during going on a fast.

I agree that I think that is what they meant too although I have no idea of the origin of hanmo's mother tongue.

my opinion on mj's question :
- avacado would just make a mess out of the omega , mj please dont mess up that awesome omega :D
- and if staying on solely water , or water and light juices is too difficult my move is to make home made nut / seed
mylks like almond and strain them through a paint filter bag . yes not a true fast but its raw / healthy and a liquid
so the g.i. tract has less work to do than if on a solid diet , so theres more cell energy for other bodily work . and your
also burning off fat which i see as log jams in the way of future fasts capability to wash pollutants out . burning fat off
on raw rich liquid diet makes the work of future fasts lesser , plus is exercise getting in shape for the day one can
push fasts further / harder
- and coming off a rich raw liquid diet makes raw solid foods more appreciated , as opposed to when on a raw solid diet many
times the raw solid foods arent as appreciated and one craves cooked solid foods more . so to me any type of raw liquid
activity is a positive . and i look at fasting as a forever habit for the wise so i dont panic when a fast dont go perfect , i just
move on and gear up for the next one with th attitude that there'll be fast after fast forever so dont worry about messing up

If you are doing a smoothie fast yes, but if you try to juice it, i doubt that it will work because it is intense. Fat isn't recommended during fasting. The goal of fasting is to cleanse, fat is counter productive, if you are going to make exception and do fat, then avocado is more suitable.

If there is any practical way to juice an avocado, it would be in a juice press. Now I am going to have to try it and find out. It will either work well, or embed the cloth with avocado paste.

i make almond milk in blender then add banana - blend - strain through fine metal mesh kitchen strainer
if i wanted taste of avacado in a liquid form ide do same thing with it , ide experiment with differing nut / seed milks to find avacados best match

The truth is I don't really care about juicing avocado. It just sounded like a fun experiment. Not everything that pops into my head works out for the best, but but I do have a lot of fun trying things.

Well.. you should eat raw vegetables and fruits as much as you can instead of juice as when you grind these there are chances of getting eliminated some essential nutrients from these when you add water, salt and other ingredients.

I eat vegetables and I juice. Some of the things I juice, like grasses, can not be digest by the human body without juicing.

Who adds water and salt to their juice? I know I don't. You can get far more nutrients from juicing than eating the greens because you can ingest more with juicing than one can eat. I couldn't physically eat the greens I juice because of how much time it takes to chew them. Therefore, one can usually get more nutrients from juicing than from eating greens.

If your goal is to detox and you want to consume vegetables, it is best to juice them. I am not against chewing your vegetables but if you want to focus on detox, then you need to juice.
No salt, oil or seasoning during the detox period. You can certainly chew your fruits and i prefer that way but not the vegetables.
