Would you return an order if you recieved it like this?

Hi,

I ordered a 1 lb bag of mesquite and received it today damaged. There is a puncture hole in the pouch and it leaks a little. I am not too perturbed with it leaking cause I can be careful about that. What I am worried about is it lowering the quality of the mesquite or having it expire way sooner than it should. What would you do? Would you return it or keep it? This is an online order from a 3rd party seller on amazon. I know it is gonna be a hassle to return and they may even try to push the blame on me. I have received a product just like this in the past too from a 3rd party seller off there. It really gets me mad that they would ship products like these and think it would not irritate people.

Almost all raw food companies I have ordered from have been very easy to work with.

I bet they send you a free replacement!

I'd call them and explain the situation. I'd be more concerned about what punctured the pouch.

Because of hygiene purpose and health hazard, you should without a doubt return it. I don't see why, they wouldn't replace it.

If they want you to return it, ask them to arrange for it to be returned at their expense. Take some photos of it as well. I *always* return items (or at least contact the company). I want what I pay for!
