Raw, organic sunflower seeds are SO good for us, but I just don't love the taste of eating a handful of raw sunflower seeds so I tried an experiment and it worked!

Sunflower Seed Chocolate Milk:

1/3 cup dry raw, organic sunflower seeds
2 cups cold water
1 T. cacao powder
1 tsp. carob powder
1/2 tsp. maca powder
1/2 tsp. lucuma powder
1/2 tsp. Non-GMO lecithin powder
1 tsp. vanilla
2 T. agave nectar

Soak sunflower seeds overnight in water in the refrigerator. Then strain off liquid, rinse and strain again.

Put sunflower seeds in high powered blender with water.

Strain mixture through nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.

Put sunflower seed milk back into the blender with cacao, carob, maca, lucuma, lecithin, vanilla,
and agave.

Blend and pour into glass.

Enjoy! It's delicious!

***I drank it too fast to take a picture...lol...next time!

***If you don't have a high powered blender this recipe will still work. You will
just have more pulp left over.

***My leftover pulp is creamy, so I am going to add a few spices and use
it as a raw spread for wraps!

***Obviously, everyone's tastes are different. You may want it more chocolatey
or sweeter. Start with my base and add as you desire!

Thank you, this will be a great recipe for my daughter at school this fall. They aren't not allow to have nuts, this is great.

Thank you again for sharing!

If she can have coconut water, it is even more delicious!

Why not sprout the seeds first (instead of just soaking)? Hulled sunflower seeds sprout quickly and they are far far more nutritious sprouted then just soaked.
