I would love to go on a short fast 3 - 5 days but I cave at the first whiff or sight of good food. I try to tell myself that I can have whatever is tempting me in a few days.
What helps you to stay on your fast?

Perhaps, you should post your question in the fasting forum, you would have more replies.
I never did a juice fast, i do juicing but not a juice fast. I have done water fast and what motivated me was after reading the "Essene of Gospel of peace". I had to find a way and try the fast. I think that i was simply ready.
Now, if you can hold on to your juice fast one day, it will be so much easier the next day. All you have to do is one moment at the time. Remind yourself that it gets easier each time that you choose to stick to it.
It is very beneficial to do a fasting. Anything that gives a brake to your digestive system, is sure to have many reward.
Your body deserve the brake so do it as a gesture of gratitude.
Keep trying and learn each time from each attempt

try enjoying those smells. let your body drink them in and then know that (as you said) once you are done your fast they will still exist.
