I'm more and more reading about aromatherapy and am very interested in getting a beginners set of oils to try out. I was wondering if there are any experts on here that know or have studied aromatherapy. Where is the best place to purchase oils? Are there dealers in bigger cities where I can get these at a cheaper price than I can on the internet? Also if you recommend any books what are they? Thanks!

I am not an expert, but this is my experience.
I have used essential oils from my local health food store and WholeFoods. They both sell Aura Cacia and Now Foods essential oils. I have used essential oils to help me relax & sleep, to stay in positive spirits, and as a bug spray (not to kill, but to keep away) and I have had great success with the brands listed above. I do use Aura Cacia brand more often, although Now Foods is less expensive.
I have order these brands from Swansonvitamins dotcom for 40% to 55% less than retail.
I also order the most wonderful dry herbs from Mountainroseherbs dotcom and I am open to purchasing their essential oils.
I own and have enjoyed the books listed below. I am a newbie novice to essential oils and I have not study the information, they way I would like to.
The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy by Valerie Ann Worwood
Aromatherapy: A Complete Guide to the Healing Art by Kathi Keville and Mindy Green
Aromatherapy for the Healthy Child by Valerie Ann Worwood
The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Essential Oils by Julia Lawless
Aromatherapy for Women by Maggie Tisserand
Essential Oils Desk Reference by Essential Science Publishing
Hope This Help
