I bought Almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, brown and golden flex seeds. Tomorrow I'm going to ground up about a cup of each and put it in some small Tupperware and then into the freezer. I sure don’t want to eat anything rancid because I wouldn’t know it when I blend it up in a drink. I've never eaten flex seeds so I'm wondering if I should use one of these each day instead of trying to combine them. I have a fruit smoothie with about 2 or 3 tablespoons of them for breakfast each day.

I keep mine refrigerated. They are fine for about a month. I don't buy them ground only whole.Good luck. Enjoy your smoothies they sound yummy.
hm, does freezing destroy the raw compounds?

Take a look at this web site http://www.favoritefreezerfoods.com/Freezing-nuts.html and you can Google for more information
Yea see, Im not sure if freezing already ground up nuts and seeds are the same as freezing the whole seed. Perhaps in whole form the raw nutrients are more preserved than if frozen while they have been ground.

I don’t think freezer would do anything bad to your seeds but for long time it loses it’s minerals and quality materials.
