hey, so i have been on this raw food journey about 2-3 weeks now. First i got these detox symptomps- fatique, diarrhea, headache. I had to stop it cause i couldn't stand it. i ate tons of other stuff (naa, this is a big prob when i visit my sister- we eat only bad stuff, even though i bought fruits too:D).

So, I have diarrhea like every day!!! Is that normal? It means i can't get the vitamins and so on, when i have diarrhea? My food isn't digested!! It really worries me, should i go to the doctor or my body isn't used to eating SO raw?

For example my daily intake:
5-6 kiwi, 6 bananas, watermelon or melon or some other fruits for lunch, veggie salad for dinner with some almonds, maybe some dates too some days.

Should i change something? I really think that my body can't get the right amount of vitamins etc with this diarrhea..

please advice

how well are you chewing your food? We generally don't chew SAD food well because it is usually quite soft and we fall into bad habits.

Plant material needs to be chewed well. Try eating less of the kiwi fruits. In fact you could try eating only bananas for example until your digestive system gets less startled by all the healthy food. Eat slowly and chew well. give it a further two weeks without lapses into SAD/junk foods and reassess after that. Add sprouted nuts and seeds and only eat nuts if they are soaked overnight first. There is a list in Alissa's book I think about soak times for different nuts.

Keep going with raw because it is such a health boon.

If you didn't do fruit/veggie before, yes this is normal. It will settle down.

Fruits are very cleansing. Your body isn't use to high content of water either.

If you react this, way, it means that you need to balance your body and doing raw food is the way. Consider doing green smoothie, they are great blood cleanser and enrich your body with mineral. Try to wait to digest your food before adding something else.

Chewing properly your food and taking the time that it get mix well with your saliva is without question a great advice.

If you want to slow down the detox, you can do more vegetables and sprouted food.

All the best!

I find having a couple tablespoons of chia seeds in a cup or two of liquid helps keep me regular. Maybe make some chia pudding?
