I'm not missing bread but bf is - or thinks he is. What can I do? He started out saying he would do week and now is saying he wants to do 2 weeks and maybe longer. I have suggested that this craving may pass but he doesn't look convinced.

From what I understand, cravings for things such as bread, pasta, rice, etc. is the body's way of saying, "please feed me some carbohydrates, my brain is hungry". LOL
I imagine though that when someone wants bread or pasta the last thing that sounds good is fruit. But fruit is rich in carbohydrates. If he were to eat say....8 or more bananas, he would probably feel satiated. Though I'm sure there's still the "addiction" from the tongue saying it wants something more. But if he can get over the hump of not pleasing his tongue then the cravings will stop. At least this has been my experience as well as many others.
I dunno if any of that will help. But it helped me. Another thing that helped me was always making sure I was getting enough to eat. I noticed that I would get cravings if I hadn't eaten something in a while. So I began to make sure that I was always eating enough and having plenty of snacks on hand so that the cravings would never show up. Then after a while the cravings just seemed to disappear.

It seems that you will have to order product on line if you have no dehydrator for emergency.
I noticed for myself, that eating red sweet pepper help me to cope with craving of starch.
If he is badly craving for that, he could be dealing with parasite giving him craving.
If i was him, i would consider to juice fast for a little bit. You know that after 30 days, craving goes away.
In my area, i can get nice raw essence bread. Maybe you can get something also.
Something that is starchy as a recipe could be grated sweet potato, with vegetables and a white sauce. I add always tarragon in my sauce to give a special taste. Give a try with this salad. I would make more gourmet food for him, such taco with iceberg salad for the shelf. etc....
All the best!

I'll see if I can order online. I just don't crave bread when I'm raw. Eat it like a mad thing if I'm not raw though.

it is sooooooo expensive to buy online. I could buy 3or4 large loaves of sliced bread for the cost of one slice raw onion bread which is the size of a small slice of regular bread. So depressing to be so exploited.

Anyway, you could do an exchange with someone and use their dehydrator?
Just a thought.
All the best, hope your friend will hold on anyway!

I asked him today how he felt about bread and he said it was fine. No craving today :) he is keen to go at least to Sunday and after that he'll continue if he feels that way inclined.

Any Phyo has a bread/pizza crust recipe that she does not dehydrate. I haven't tried it, but I have the recipe. PM me if you would like it!
