View Full Version : Juice fast partners?

I am starting a 5 day juice/blended food fast and would love some partners to do it with me. Any takers? I've been wanting to do this for a while, but it seemed so overwhelming. I figure a 5 day fast is much less overwhelming than an 10-20-30 day fast. Perhaps once I prove to myself I can do 5 days, I'll have more confidence.

funny you should mention it....but I was seriously thinking the same thing myself today. Your offer makes me want to do this even more.
I'll join you Monday morning and go for as long as I can with you.

Hi there. I'm on day three of my juice fast today. I don't know how many more days I'll go as I'm taking it one day at a time....but it's nice to know there's others out there too.

Hi Angeldoll...
Some of my favorites are:
3 apples and one pear
3 or 4 oranges for straight up o.J. (sometimes I add a wee bit of black cherry concentrate - organic of course)
3 apples and 1 stalk of celery
watermelon - either with a handful of grapes or on it's own -it's wonderful!
carrot with a bit of cucumber and beet (the red root, not the green)
Those are just a few, have fun trying them out. :)

okay, life is being more friendly today. Had a good juicing day (so far). Had an odd realization that I can juice anytime I want to. I don't have to wait for a mealtime to roll around. (weird how that never crossed my mind before, huh?) So I've had more juice than I would have normally allowed myself before. Roughly ever 3 hours or so. So far today I've had:
celery/cucumber/kale/parsley/apple/pear
carrot/orangejuice/ginger
tomato/celery with a sprinkle of Celtic sea salt
They have been so delicious! my trillions of cells are shoutin' hallelujah!
Ok, editing here:
Nobody ever said I was brilliant, but I've blown it already. Snacked on baby carrots and hummus (NOT raw... ) around 4pm.
I often need just one meal on the first day of a fast. After the first day, I can make it through without. So I'll try to do better tomorrow. All those juices sure did make me feel terrific. I'm bummed that I blew it so quickly and easily. Tomorrow is another day.

How are you doing on your fast? I wasn't ready to commit verbally, but I did anyway and have finished 3 days on a juice fast. I'm going for 10 hopefully but am taking it one day at a time just to prove I really can do it and hopefully get over this chronic fatigue/candida yeast thing!
Happy fasting!

starting over tomorrow on mine. wish me luck. I got derailed as well. I went to the doctor the other day and I weigh 200lbs. I am so upset right now about that, that I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror. I am only 5'4" and small framed. So, you can imagine what I look like. Good luck you all and God bless

Well, I've come to the point that my body cannot handle any solid food so a juice fast sounds PERFECT! I'll join in as of tomorrow.
BTW, what are you all using for elimination?
Ciao,
Linda :p

I'm on day 11. I've started to add in a little raw fruit. Today I made almond milk to transition out, but I think I'm going to stay juicing mostly for a while still. To cleanse: I am using a warm water enema in an old fashioned kind of enema bag once a day. It's amazing what is still coming out!
Happy Fasting!

Hi all,
I will definitely be joining you on a juice fast soon--probably starting Tuesday of this week to give me today to shop for produce and get mentally prepared.
I am recovering, physically and emotionally, from miscarrying a pregnancy (twins) at 8 weeks. Just had a D & E Friday so it's still really recent. It was my second pregnancy (my first, 9 years ago with my wonderful son) and we'll be trying again as soon as I'm up to it. I really want to be clean, healthy, ready to carry to term this next time, if that's meant to be.
I've fasted many times before (both juice and Master Cleanse) and know that a nice long (7 days?) fast will really help me now. Lots of greens are, I'm sensing, what I need to balance my hormones and even me out emotionally. Any encouragement/guidance very welcome and I'll do the same for you.
~Melissa
p.s. Hey there, Miss Linda...Good to see you're still here. Doing well I hope!

Melissa,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had 3 second trimester miscarriages, etc. etc.
It took about a year for me to "recover" emotionally each time. It seems like a long time, and I didn't go around crying all the time, it just seemed to take that long for the world to right itself again. I wish you the best on your next pregnancy!
Hi Melissa,
Just to wanted to say sorry for your loss. I had 2 early miscarriages between my 1st and 2cnd child, I found peace in believing that our bodies know what they are doing and something simply was not right.
Blessings and warm holiday wishes.
