Hi! As soon as I posted my introduction in the "who are you" section, I had to share this adjusted recipe right away!

I got most of the ingredients from this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuWrkMUUXAw&list=FLeN24Aa7r8ksYIp78AQfhcA&index=1&feature=plpp_video

To save you the time of watching it, the ingredients are (correct me if i'm wrong) 1.5 cups of soaked cashews, tbsp garlic powder, tbsp onion powder, tbsp lime juice, tbsp sea salt, some dill and cilantro. Then they're all blended in the blender with 1/2 - 1 cup of water, depending on the consistency you want, pulsing the dill and coriander at the end so that it doesn't completely blend with the dressing.

HOWEVER, I noticed it needed more "zang". So I doubled the lime juice and spices, and (here comes the secret!) 1/4 to 1/3 cup of distilled VINEGAR!

And OMG HEAVEN!!!!

I tasted my non raw low fat ranch dressing next to this...and they were very similar!! :D. I think I'll add more lime and salt next time though, personally.

Try it, you'll like it too, i promise! :D

YUM!

Thanks for sharing!

I like mine spicy, so I would have to add a fresh jalapeno!

There is a Mexican restaurant here in Phoenix that has the most amazing dressing.

It's a ranch dressing with fresh tomatilloes, cilantro and jalapeno in it.

I think I will use your base and add these items to see if I can copy it. If I can then I will be hitting the salad dressing jackpot it's so good!

I might try this (but use acv rather than distilled). The crucial bit will be my lack of blender power. If I can make it in my manual juicer things will be good.

Aww thats so cool :D. I'm glad everyone likes it :D. That dressing sounds good, walnutty!! Oh and I think next time I might add a pinch of stevia in there..I dunno. We'll see :P.

Oh I also wanted to mention that my dad thinks it tastes in Egyptian tahini dip (like you find served in restaurants, not tahini you buy from the store) and I kinda think it does! :D hehe
