Hello everyone!

Today is day one of my raw diet! My girlfriend and I made the decision to transition to a raw diet near the beginning of last month. After me reading enough and watching enough videos to finally see the benefits of this diet here I am! I am glad I found this forum and will be checking out some of peoples recipes on here. I am doing P90x and my main concerns months ago were about losing muscle mass and getting enough of everything etc, etc, etc. After doing my research I feel very comfortable with my decision and can't wait to continue P90x as well as getting the benefits of a raw diet.

My girlfriend has done the raw food diet before and she talked about it on and off a lot. She is excited as well. For me seeing some videos with some raw food guys who were completely healthy and built is what made me realize...Wait a second that guys completely raw and he is in awesome shape. I did not want to lose all of the benefits from the hard work I have been putting in with P90x. I know now that the raw diet doesn't get a fair shake and that most people including myself are or were misinformed. The people advocating the unhealthy diets that are now prominent in our society have a lot of money at stake and they are good at smearing and also saturating the market with false information.

I am glad and thankful for a forum like this where like minded people can gather and people can be introduced to the other side of the story. Anyhow I just wanted to share my excitement today and also to share some of my thoughts. When a lot of people think of raw diets they think of unhealthy strung out people who aren't eating enough. I am very glad that i found out the truth and I am hoping to learn more here and in my searches for doing all of this the right way. I already had the first " What about protein?" the other day. Hehe. I explained how you get plenty of protein in a raw diet if you are doing it right.

What is cool is that I don't feel the need to explain myself. I have done enough research and looking into this to know what is up. It is cool though knowing the way people feel, because I had the same questions. It really is about slowly getting the other side of the story out there. I am glad some people are starting to do that. The movies Forks over Knives and Food matters were two movies that I really found enlightening.

Anywhooooo... I am just happy today and glad that I have made this decision! Happy health people!

Thank you Daisyhead I appreciate it. I have been able to look through some of the forums and I am definitely glad I found this place. It is pretty cool that my girlfriend has done this before also. Here I will be reading through all of this stuff and talking about recipes. She gets up yesterday morning, comes downstairs and whips up this awesome raw shake. Haha. One of the best shakes I have ever had. Then last night out of the almond pulp that was leftover from the almond milk she made. She makes these little raw cookies! Pretty awesome.

It feels good to be amongst others who are into this as well. It is really encouraging! Thanks Daisy!

On my first day of raw food dieting i took only fresh organic food and drinking green juice. Raw food are truly delicious to eat also helpful to maintain health. It may be little longer, but a raw food diet is easy to adopt as a life style change, so there is no great rush.
