Hi folks,

I made the decision to not only quit meat but to eventually go raw about 3 weeks ago.
While Im not there yet and I still eat things like eggs ( I fully intend to go 100% over the next few months however ) , Im noticing a few things that maybe you guys could advise me on.

First off is my fitness. I run quite a bit and play football ( approx 30k a week ) and Ive noticed Im finding it far , far tougher than I used to. I also lift weights and Ive been previously making slow but steady progress but Ive gone in the opposite direction since ( it certainly isnt for lack of effort ! )
I need at least 8 hours sleep or else Ill be yawning , tired and less alert during the day. Getting out of bed is a bit of a struggle unless Ive got the full 8-7.5 hours.
Final part while unpalatable , is important. My stools are completely diarrhetic , and my gas is getting to be a problem!

Im not at the stage where I'm using stuff like juicers , dehydrators etc yet , just eating as much raw food as I can.

Typical days diet
============

Breakfast
---------
3 Eggs
2 Bananas
Oats with almond milk
Mug of Gunpowder green tea

Mid morning
-----------
Raw Peanut butter + cocomilk shake ( for bulking ,consists of 200ml of Coconut milk + 75g Peanut Butter )
Raw Sunwarrior rice Protein shake

Lunch
------
Raw carrot
Half cup of cooked quinoa
Raw pepper
Bowl of raw spinach
Avocado
Dressing of olive oil/walnut oil + various spices ( maybe oregano + tumeric , differs )
Tomato

Mid afternoon /evening
----------------------
Raw Peanut butter + cocomilk shake ( for bulking ,consists of 200ml of Coconut milk + 75g Peanut Butter )

Dinner
------
Raw carrot
Half cup of cooked quinoa
Very lighted cooked large head of broccoli ( cooked for about 3 minutes at 3/4 heat )
Stir fried onions + garlic in coconut oil

Cup of camomile tea.

From what Ive read there'll be some issues due to detoxing , if this is the cause. Bear in mind also that I would eaten a chicken breast a day ( or some sort of meat ) for pretty much the entirity of my life up until a few weeks ago. If the reason my fitness has suffered /severe morning tiredness is because of a sudden change in diet and/or detoxing, then thats great.

However , Im concerned Im doing things the wrong way , that Im missing some foods , that there are foods I should be eating , and other stuff I should be doing!

All advice would be much appreciated :)

Thanks a million,

AB

We aren't allow to discuss about meat or dairy because it is a vegan raw food forum but we can support each other to try to achieve this goal.

Honestly, i think you have fear about going deficient on plant food and perhaps you need to look at this issue. It is such a myth that we need flesh or dairy to be healthy. If anything, it is the opposite way, we need to go at the very least 100% plant food to claim our health back. It is so so toxic for a human body to do those heavy protein and that need to be cook to kill parasite they contain. Animal that are design to eat flesh, do have the strong acid to take care of those parasites.

What i suggest, if you aren't ready for 100% raw, is to go vegan and do steam vegetables. Trust me the sooner you ditch these animals source food, the sooner you will feel better.

Watch "a diet of all reason" and "a diet for a new America"

We have been so programmed with these thoughts that we will get weak unless we consume flesh that it has anchor deeply in our root. Time to be free from those believes and embrace radiant health

All the best

look at this woman, she is vegan and is 70 year old on this youtube

All the best to you and good luck with your path!

You might be surprised to find your sleep patterns changing on raw. You'll probably need less because your body won't be tired from eating SAD food.

Hi folks,

After doing a good bit of research , I dont think my diet is the problem.
I actually started on the raw food path because I was constantly tired , and I figured it would do something to help me in this regard.
Ive always suffered badly with sinus trouble caused by a mixture of having a deviated septum and a severe allergy to dust , which means combined I dont sleep as well as I should ( I snore badly ) , leaving me lethargic for the day.
My orginal point of feeling worse since I started raw food could be just coincidental. Its a problem Ive always had, just never realised it as such.

Anyways , I purchased a juicer today so I'm going to see how that improves things.
