Hi guys!
I just found your site today and the energies here are very comforting. So I think I'll stick with it. I've been intensively reading about raw food for merely two weeks now. It's something quite new for me. I had no idea it existed. LOL. My spiritual master suggested I try it cos I've kept feeling nauseous eating my regular diet - Thai food, American fast food, desserts, chips. LMAO. It went well until now.
Health issues:
For the past two years I've found 2 cysts in my ovary and womb.
I've lots of allergies - weather, bugs&insects, pollution. This year I'm allergic to my normal diet (which isn't healthy as seen above). Haha
With my family background, there's a fat chance that I could have cancer. Well, my dad is stage 3 and we just found out about it at the beginning of April. It runs in both sides of the family. In total, we lost 4 family members to cancers already.
I'm considered to be smallest of all my family members and healthiest. Hmmm cos my mom is almost a hundred kg thus being 153cm and my bigger bro is over a hundred kg (he's 187cm). My dad used to be around 90kgs but he's down to 77 due to cancer.
As for myself, I'm 168cm with 76.8kg (first scaling prior to raw food challenge on 16/05/12). I remember when I was in highschool, being 58kg was too much for me to handle already. LOL.
I started gaining weights after working for my family. Since then (late 2008), I work at home in front of computer all day. My family business is Chinese-Thai restaurant and a noodle factory. Imagine that!
My 'raw' journey
LOL. It's been a week so far and I fell off it a few days cos there's a wedding reception and family trip. Blah blah blah, excuse! lol. When I was strict with raw food during the first 3 days, I lost 1.6kg. After that I don't dare to weight myself. Too much guilt!
It's so hard to exercise raw food diet in Thailand. I don't know anyone doing it. There's no raw food dressings, nuts, seeds, or whatsoever sold here. I've been looking for it but no luck. Basically, I've had fruits and some veggies. Mostly tropical fruits.
Being vegetarian here is hard already. My bro's been a vegetarian for 8 yrs and it's still very hard for him to get food when we dine out. Some places don't understand the word vegetarian for some reasons. lol. If he orders some regular Thai dishes that normally come with meats and tells them 'no-meat please!' They'll cook it with shrimps or something else for you. Hahaaaa. What he's been doing is keep ordering like that if there's no luck, he'll just put all the non-vegetarian things aside... of course, for the rest of the family to eat! T_T
I've accidently started my raw jouney on 16/05/12 and it's a good thing cos my bday is 16/07 so I could really make a change to myself when I'm turning 31 this yr  There's an annual health check-up coming up in late July or early August as well. It's then another drive for me.
Observations
What I've been observing for the past week of me shifting from cooked to raw to cook to raw (LOL) is what cooked food has done to me:
- it makes #1 & #2 stink!
- it makes my body sore and itchy. there's no itchiness or cramps or soreness during raw food diet
- it makes me get hungry really quicky
- it doesn't make me as full as raw food (though more mental satisfaction!)
- it makes me crave chocolate, desserts, etc...
- bad body odor
and so on!
Anyway,,,
Love reading your success stories. Hope I'll have one of mine to share pretty soon. REAL soon! lol
xoxo
