Hi my name is Bryan, I'd likentomstart off by saying that I respect the heck out of you people that do the raw food diet 100%. I'm not quite there, but I'm working on it. Usually I'm the type of guy to jump in with both feet and go full speed ahead right off the bat. Usually, I end up getting burned out on most things when I do this, so I am wondering what you guys think would be a slow but steady way to make the switch.

For the past few weeks, I've basically been doing the green juice thing everyday, I probably drink about 3 liters a day. I try and use lots of green leafy veggies, then throw in some cucumber, celery, apple and pear for taste and for volume. I love the taste very much, maybe I'm still getting used to it but I'm seeing the bathroom a little bit more than usual!

As far as my food intake goes, I try to keep it to a minimal and whole foods, but not always. Like I said before, I'm not trying to do this transition all at once. I want to be in it for the long haul for health and energy.

I'm 28 years old, 6'2" and about 210. I'm a firefighter, and the food that these guys cook isn't healthy by any means. The statistic is scary when it comes to death via heart attack, and it's because of the food these guys eat. They may look fit and healthy but I know what they eat and it's not good stuff!

Basically I was really drained the first week when I did the juice fast, then I started feeling good into the second week, with minimal food. The past couple days I haven't had time to juice and I have been feeling super slow and lagging in every aspect, maybe this is because I'm not drinking the juice?

I would love for someone to give me a 7 day meal plan for everyday, that I could follow to the T until I get comfortable making new recipes. The reason I would like to have someone set me up on a daily meal plan is because I'm not educated enough when it comes to whether I'm getting enough of something or not enough of something else.

Thanks and I'm looking forward to learning from everybody here. Thanks again

Bryan

Hi Bryan,
One way that you could do this is to concentrate on what you take out of your diet instead of on what you add in.
Gradually take all the bad things out starting with refined sugar and refined carbs, then dairy etc.
I am saying this because it may be something that you are eating instead of something you are not eating that is making you feel slow and sluggish.
