Okay, so I see this packaged yellowish stuff in the produce dept, right next to the bananas and it's called "'Nana Pudding." So I'm thinking, "Well, it's got to have some preservatives in it, some artificial colors maybe, to keep those bananas whitish yellow." So I pick up a package, and lo and behold, there are no bananas in it.

In fact, there are no real foods in it!

UN BAH LIEVABLE!!!!!

Just wanted to rant to sympathetic ears!

Now mind you, I didn't even want to try it/buy it....I was just curious. And yes DebB, I agree...Should be all in caps: EWWWWW. But you know there's so much non-food in the aisles at some places, you wonder who eats this stuff.

Well, a couple years ago, while doing a garage sale at my SIL's, I got to see what her family ate.....Just like th e "Nana pudding", they just didn't eat real food for most of the day. The nearest thing that came to food, was a commercial pizza....

And when you see all this fake crap in the stores, it's mind boggling to realize that the only reason it's there is because there is a demand for it. Sheesh...

Rant on......LOL

I'm just shaking my head in disbelief. I know some folks who think our current food situation is a deliberate attempt by the pharmaceutical industry--with the help of the government--to keep us dependent on their products. When I reed stuff like this, I start to wonder if those conspiracy theorists might have a point!

Thats a great lesson. When I go shopping now I get my kids to read the ingrediants. If they cannot find they ingrediants in the store sold individually than they cannot have it.

Hi SmartyPants. I believe its all about profit. Not about health. Some might do it no knowingly but since we are educated in the matter we need to spread the word. READ YOUR FOOD LABELS PEOPLE.

You know, I think it would be great if food companies had to have honest labels. Instead of Nana Pudding it should be called "There isn't a trace of Banana in this pudding" or "This pudding will make your kids ill pudding" GAH!!!

This goes right along with how hard it is to believe that a lot of people, even very smart people, don't get the connection between earthlings getting sicker and sicker by the year and the food we (they) eat!

AND MD's are the worst!!! Mine actually couldn't control her guffaw when I suggested that my fibromyalgia pain goes away completely when I am able to eat 100% raw food....

And yet they are the first to tell over weight people to eat healthily. they know we should eat healthy foods but they don't take this thought to a logical conclusion.

The food, the water, nothing is safe. I heard they want to put blood pressure medication in the drinking water. I wish we could move to an island and grow our own food and live happily ever after.

Sometimes they tell overweight people to go on very unhealthy diets like Atkins or Optifast, and if that doesn't work they move to surgery or medication. The medical community does not want to be made obsolete. They like us dependent upon them.

That is what I am saying. They know diet is important but they don't take this concept to a logical conclusion.

If everybody ate a healthy diet what would we do with all of the hospitals, doctors, and pharmacy's???

There would still be some ill health. But everyone eating a healthy diet just won't happen so they needn't worry!
