Hi everyone, i'm new here and I was hoping if someone had a solution for me. This may be kind of long lol, so sorry in advance.....ok
Well to start, my eyes feel really tired every single day. I've noticed that I have veins showing in the sclera portion of each eyeball. It fiils up half of my eyes from the middle to the bottom and makes them look yellowish. The top of my eye is still white though. I've also noticed that I have dark circles underneath my eyes, almost resembling a raccoon.......its making me look so old. People are constantly asking me questions like "Are you ok, you look tired" even after I get sleep. I will say that sometimes I do not get adequate sleep, but even when I do sleep I still feel really tired after I wake up. I'll be honest and say that I do not eat very healthy, but I am trying to transition myself into eating raw foods. ok so here are my questions:

1. I plan on doing a juice fast, for about 40-50 days, will this help my eyes go back to normal? Like making the veins and dark circles go away?
2. If juicing is the answer, what types of vegetables and fruits should I juice?
3. Has anyone else had this problem before? If so, what did you do?
4. Will juicing help me to not feel so tired all the time?

This problem is killing me right now, I even avoid looking people in the face because i'm so embarrassed by this. I work in customer service also so I have no choice but to face people everyday. The organic veggies and fruits that I was thinking was cucumbers, spinach, celery, kale, lemon, cilantro and apple. But if anyone knows the perfect solution, please please help me. Thank you for your time.

One thing is for sure...... juice fasting will help your body shed gunk that's accumulated throughout the years.

I can't say for sure how long it would take for your eyes to clear up but as your body gets rid of all the toxic stuff you will get cleaner and so will your eyes.

Fruits are cleansing......greens and veggies are building. More fruits will help your body get rid of accumulations faster. There's a juice combo I recently learned about called the "lymph buster", probably could of had a better name like lymph cleanser or something. But the combo is grapes and lemon. There's a variation of it on youtube by liferegenerator. I think he adds ginger and maybe a couple other things.

One thing not mentioned enough by "raw food guru's" is the importance of a clean colon. Many know the value, but choose not to talk too much about it because most people balk at the idea. But I can say that it will help. Specifically colon hydrotherapy. When you switch to clean eating, and fasting especially, your body is gonna release gunk, and if it doesn't find it's way out of the body it tends to be reabsorbed into the blood stream and will make you feel pretty bad at times. I prefer to get it out ASAP as my body releases it so it's not running anymore havoc on my system.

As time goes on and your body gets cleaner you will experience more energy. I feel more energy if I am fasting actually, then when I drink juice I slow down a little for maybe an hour. And in between the juice drinks I feel high energy again. Green juice tends to also give an extra boost of energy for me.

Thank you so much for replying to me, I really appreciate it. The information about fruits being cleansing and veggies being used for building is new to me. I'm actually subscribed to Dan The Man on youtube lol!!!!! I think i'm going to juice for about 50 days, using mostly green juices and putting a lil fruit in each one. I'm about to do research on the lymph buster also.

By clean colon, do you mean getting an enema? O my.......:(

I have been experiencing the same issue going on two years now. Two years ago, I had clear, full, lively eyes. Now they are red, tired and super hollow all the time as you mentioned. The issue I've been dealing with is adrenal fatigue/kidney not filtering, and intestinal issues as well. Funny you mentioned this as I was trying to figure out a way to restore my eyes back to how they were. I've been detoxing for awhile now, lots of fruits and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

It sounds like you have adrenal gland issues which explains the way your eyes are now.

dark circles can be sign of kidney issues , and ive read eliminating salt helps

also recently reading about ingested coconut oil helping eyes so maybe something to study

Thank you blueberry and michigan roman for your input. Blueberry, you said that you've been doing a lot of fruit juices, but other sources told me to juice dark leafy green vegetables. I'm about to do some research on how to detoxify the adrenal glands and kidneys.

Green juices are great, although they are more of a builder than for detoxing. I would juice your greens and eat your fruits whole. Watermelons, grapes and berries are excellent for detoxing, especially the kidneys/adrenal glands.

In addition to the good juicing advice you have already received also consider blueberries.

In Japan, blueberries are known as "the vision fruit" because of their ability to relieve eyestrain.

Some of this research about blueberries dates back to World War II when British Air Force pilots apparantly consumed bilberry before their night missions.

I'm also wondering if malabsorbtion would lead to hollow eyes?

Our cat developed hyper thyroid. Her eyes got cloudy. We began K-D prescription formula for hyper thyroid. A couple months later eyes still cloudy and being told cataracts forming, I began growing and feeding oat grass three times a day. I have to assist her so she does not get long strands or they come up. I grasp the blades an inch or two from the tips as they stand in the container, and let her chew above my fingers grasp. within ten weeks her eyes are now crystal clear and her thyroid numbers are normal. She is more energetic, able to get up and down from furniture better, putting on weight slowly and much more personable and involved. Can see better across the room. Comes up to me and rises on her haunches when she wants her grass snack. Lisa taught her to raise up and touch the grass and other treats as we feed them to her. Precious took it a step further and uses it to signal us that she wants her oats.

Point being - get your greens and I believe it will help your eyes.

I had the same tired eyes problem, too. They just always felt tired and there was pressure behind them.
For me, it was from iron deficiency anemia, which can also cause rings under the eyes. Are you getting enough iron?
I started taking a supplement for a little while to replenish stores, but don't take it so much anymore.

Anyway, juicing should definitely help!
I'm still trying to get rid of these rings under my eyes and my acne, and juicing helps so much. I'm not fasting or anything, but I try to have juice as meals at least 3 times a week. I'd love to do more... but eating food is just so much more satisfying to me!

Yellowing of eyes + tiredness?

Well if it's not genuine yellowing of the whites and appears to be an effect of the irritation/pronounced blood vessels then that might not be as scary of a combination of symptoms as it first seemed to me. If you are experiencing actual yellowing of the whites of your eyes and tiredness I would strongly urge you get a diagnosis if at all possible.

If it is jaundice of the eyes, that along with tiredness could indicate something your juice fast will be great for. It could also indicate some things that it would not help with and also would require urgent attention. Without ruling out the latter, I wouldn't feel comfortable answering your question without saying this.

Good luck with your juice fast; I hope you see the results you're looking for and that my concern over the symptoms ends up being needless panic on my part. If you also any one or combination of the following symptoms in addition to those you already mentioned: experience fever, abdominal pain, more pronounced yellowing of the eyes, chest pain, trouble breathing/shortness of breath then I would urge you to seek immediate emergency medical attention.
