Hi folks,
New here as of today. Interested in learning more about raw eating. I have no intention to go 100% raw, not even close, I like cheeseburgers!! (sorry if that offends some lol) but I'm very interested in introducing MORE raw food into my pathetic diet.
I bought a Vitamix just 3 days ago and am mostly, for now anyway, into green smoothies. Who know's where they might lead me :)
Ive had a couple with banana, apple, green grapes, pineapple and LOTS of spinach. The second time I did the same except gut back on the pineappl since I had found the first green smoothie overly sweet. I know I need to "rotate" greens so looking for more green smoothies.

Do what you can as any improvement in your diet will help you but it would be best if you not mention your "sins" here.
If your smoothie is too sweet I find that adding cranberries adds a nice tang to it.

PS: Eating a cheeseburger is a sin? Is this the general consensus here? If so....I'm definately in the wrong place.
Any and all, please chime in. I mean no disrespect and will move on to greener pastures...:)

Well firstly my use of the word sin was in inverted commas as it was my attempt at humour and not having a sense of humour is an even bigger "sin".
I guess that I have a weird sense of humour but on the other hand I do think of it as a sin. A sin against the cow, a sin against the earth and a sin against your body.

Why would somebody come to a raw forum and say 'I love cheeeseburgers and I am not giving them up?' Your not trying to be raw. Your just trying to add more vegetables and fruits to a SAD diet and those are two different things. This forum works because people DO NOT come and talk about slip-ups or SAD meals they incorporate into a RAW diet. This forum is to support people who want to fully adapt to the the raw WOE. I hate reading posts about SAD food. Thats not why I am here....Just saying.

Well, this is a vegan forum. According to the forum rules, we don't discuss eating animals here : )
For me personally it's not about following "raw rules" or making dietary choices, it's about not contributing to the torture and murder of sentient beings.
If you want to eat cheeseburgers and "cheat" on raw -- why not cheat with the dozens of veggie burgers and veggie cheese slices? In this day and age they're both plentiful and delicious and no one had to die to produce them. :wuv

mccauliffe you have been possesed by the evil , we shall exorcise you poor darling :8
but anyway i know your outta here but in case read this two thoughts ;
if were eternal and keep reincarnating body after body til we figure out how to make bodys last forever at which time we establish our eternal territory / homes on the universe and live forever more as exactly what we choose , a condition and place people use the word heaven to describe . or if a god thing brings us to this eternal heavenly place , either or . the question is in this perfect place and life do you think there'll be critters there in cages and being hunted for all the wondeful high life forms that exist in this wonderful place to exist off of ? or do you think perfect higher life forms would be plant eaters not caging / milking / preying upon other creatures ? answers obvious . next point i make to everyone is if its obvious the ultimate life form is a plant eater not leaching off of / preying upon other creatures what the hell are you waiting for , are you stupid :yes: lmbo , thats just so true to me its funny
any way here what humans as critter eaters are doing to earth , and what would be the affects if they became plant eaters : http://www.peta.org/issues/Animals-Used-For-Food/Meat-Wastes-Natural-Resources.aspx
