New to the raw food thing. I have been a vegan for around 3 months and just started to get into raw. had my first mono meal breakfast april 1st and felt extraordinary so kept including more raw foods and mono meals in my days :)

I still have some vegan cooked in here but always always keeping it low fat high carb

Breakfast:
1/2lb dates and an orange or a 6-banana smoothie

Lunch: Cucumber sandwich (on whole wheat), 1 serving of dates, raisins, prunes, carrots and broccoli

Snack: 2 large apples

Dinner: 1/2cup quinoa, 2cups steamed broccoli, 2cups steamed mushrooms, 2cups cucumber, maybe 1/2cup-1cup beans (black or red kidney)

Snack: 2-banana, 2cup mango, 5cup romaine and 2cup baby spinach smoothie

Occaisionally i have oatmeal and 1tbsp flaxseed for breakfast or 1cup soymilk at night or 1oz of almonds/walnuts to get my fats in (once a week usually for the nuts)

I typically hit 2600kcals a day. Cronometer says i hit my vitamins besides b12 and vitamin D. But i take a multi so i am not worried. This is typical, i will have berries (blueberries, raspberries) during the week too, maybe 4cups total a week

Any improvements i can make? thanks

Loving raw food so much!!

Ditch the bread and other non-raw stuff. Otherwise, looking good.

You have not said how occasional is the oatmeal (which includes flax). Nuts have a lot of omega 6 and not much omega 3. I suggest that you buy some chia seeds or hemp seeds and have some. I take 10 grams of one of those per day to balance my omegas.

Or have the flax seeds more than occasionally.

Ok i can definitely do that. Just dont know how much fat is too much, lol

More flax as in how much more? 1tbsp each day?

The balance of Omega 3 to 6 is more important than the amount. I suggest that you download http://cronometer.com/ and put the amount of nuts and other fats that you may have and then add enough of the omega 3 rich seeds to compensate. I generally use 10 grams of seeds in my smoothie and very few nuts.
