Hi...

I was curious, does anyone know if there is some type of chart, system, where it tells you how many pounds of this specific dehydrated veg etc, will give you once dehydrated? For example, I want to mince and dehydrate onion, and celery flakes, love it so much. But I don't wanna spend all that time waiting to end up with a few tablespoons? So does anyone have ideas? Tips? I want to make a jar full of minced onions, celery, etc Like the 16 oz ones you can get at the stores. So how much onions to start ?

thanks

LOL. a lot!

Seriously - every veggie would be different and even different depending on 'how dry' something is. Some 'recipes' may give you an idea, but nothing would be exact.

I am always disappointed when I dehydrate things and see what I am left with but you must remember that fruit and veg are high water.

Yeah Im sure Ima just have to try it and see, I loved dehydrated minced onions so much. The crunch. I will just have to wing it and see, but Ima have lots of dehytrays of onions... haha!
