I bought the Nutribullet(Which I love) which is a lot like the magic bullet. You are able to blind everything together. The skin even. So i have been using it for 3 days and tryn to eat as healthy as I can. I have been using 1 Banana, 1 handful of frozen strawberry's, 1 handful of frozen broccoli, 1 handful of baby carrots and some dairy free coconut milk. Then blending it together. I'm guessing I'm doing it ok. Any suggestions please?

Wouldn't be my favorite for a smoothie. Spinach makes a nice smoothie. Google green smoothies recipes and pick from there. If you find ones you like you will stick to it.
My favorite. Spinach / water/ Oranges. Its so good.

Baby carrots are bleached and washed in chlorine, not to mention all of the pesticides and toxic chemicals that non-organic carrots soak up like sponges while they are growing in the soil. The coconut milk will be pasteurized and doubtless contains harmful additives.
Why not add some fresh greens to your smoothies?

Blake22 - awesome that you are eating healthy foods .... :)! My fav blended smoothie is spinach or kale or chard, almond mylk, banana, apple, and a handful of any berries (frozen or fresh) ... which is also the basis for yours. The carrots and broccoli sound like a good addition. It's nice to buy organic when you can, but it isn't always available or affordable for sure. Check out the green smoothie site suggestions given, and experiment a bit. Changing up the greens is a good idea. Have fun with it and enjoy!!!

O.k., first of all, you're not juicing, you're blending. Juicing separates fiber from fluid.
There's a sticky somewhere here (too lazy to look myself) which has, what? 70 combinations? Might want to look that up.

not all baby carrots are. Some baby carrots maybe but that is a sweeping statement to make on baby carrots. Then again I suppose the USA is just plain loopy when it comes to what they allow to be done to food.

I was talking about the USA - probably should have clarified that.

I got a bag of baby carrots and it says no Preservatives.:drool:For juicing, I don't see any advantage to baby carrots over large unprocessed carrots. Also, I share your concern over cost. That is why I am learning to forage for edible weeds. I am starting with dandelions, and garlic mustard. Both have a pretty strong taste so you may need to add a fair amount of fruit, tomatoes or carrots to make them something you would enjoy. Though, for me, when it comes to juice I have found I can tolerate just about any strong taste since I don't have to chew to swallow, so I even juice things like pine needles and grass!

Just wrote a longer response to some of this and then hit reply thread and it erased it...argg...Anyways google The Dirty Dozen and The Clean Fifteen. This will give you a good idea of what you want to buy organic and what you can buy conventional. I mean organic is always better, but a lot of us cannot always afford this option on a budget. Or some people don't have access to organics always. Notice that apples are almost always in the top two... I never buy a conventionally grown apple anymore. Where we shop mainly they have the organic apples laid out directly next to the conventionally grown apples. It is amazing how much of a difference you can see. The conventional ones shine with what is most likely some kind of petroleum or pesticide residue of some kind...mmm mmm eh? Anyways the information has helped me when making my decisions for what to buy organic mainly. :) Happy health!
