I have been about 80% raw for about 2 months now and just though I'd share some results that have occured to me so far.
I live in a country where even being a vegetarian is something like being a tropical animal set loose in the city. So being high raw has been a challenge indeed. I tried to be 100% raw for the first 2 weeks but on the 2nd week it got really bad and I had to be fit for university (medical studies, so nothing easy) and I reduced it to 80%.
Anyway, some of my results:
1) I was having the symptoms of prediabetes.
I was really thirsty all the time and drank a bottle or two of water every night - it had never been like that before. And the amounts of water increased every week. My roommate who is also a medical student (last year student) asked me about it and suggested that I should go and see a doctor. The usual strory people are being told of diabetes is that it's not curable, you can die of it and you'll be on medications for the rest of your life. I also have this disease in my lines so it was really scary. Then I read about people who got back their health by going raw, and I decided to try it. It was amazing, the thirst went away in couple of days.
2) the depression which I've faced about 7 years or so is getting better... I no longer feel like commiting a suicide. Also, I've always been kind of shy and being in parties or other places where you have to communicate has been really scary and exhausting for me. It has got better lately.
3) I have lost about 6 pounds and weighing my ideal weight 129.8 pounds now
4) my friends tell me how amazing I look and that I'd keep doing whatever I do
5) feeling more intelligent :) thinking and concentrating is much easier.
6) it's much easier to survive days with 5 or less hours sleep at night
7) when I go out guys just notice me :)
I know these changes may seem small but they are showing it's the right path. And if I have to decide whether I'll be high raw or have diabetes, it will be raw.
Also thanks a lot for those who have posted their stories here, you really have been a great motivation :)
