My daughter is allergic to avocadoes and nuts. I am looking for a pudding recipe to help her to be more raw. She has severe allergies. She is 4 and I am trying to help her learn early on about raw. But she needs some enticing.
I am also looking for anykind of raw desert ideas. And snacks.
thanks.

I just found this today and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my vitamix to make it. Mango spinach pudding (http://blenditandmendit.com/vitamix-anti-aging-spinach-mango-pudding/)
I love (and have demoed at our raw food meetups) mango-banana pudding. I like to take a couple ripe mangoes and slice in a frozen banana into the food processor. Or you can reverse it - fresh banana and some frozen mango.
I like having more mango, less banana - since banana's flavor it so strong. My 2 year old granddaughter (and the older grands too) all love this!

Thanks to you both. The other day I accidentally cut into the nut that is in mango and gave it to her and she has a reaction. I will try these and be careful not to pierce the pit of the fruit.
I know it's not raw, but I made some Quinoa and blended it up thinking it might be an alternative. It may work nicely with vanilla bean, dates and coconut milk .:eat

What about ice cream. Peel and freeze some bananas and some berries. My favourite is blackberries right now. When you want ice cream just take them out of the freezer and let them sit for about 10 mins. Slice into half inch pieces and put in the food processor. Yummie. I make a meal of it and not just pudding.

You might want to try chia pudding. There are several different recipes you can find online using google. I've been mixing chia seeds with my ice tea the last few days and they are really interesting. Raw cacao powder, dates and cashews arrived today. I'm going to mix up some cashew milk (with a couple dates added for sweetness) and mix it with chia seeds to soak for a while then add cacao powder, a pinch of stevia if it's not quite sweet enough.
Is she allergic to sunflower seeds? You could use those instead of cashews to make the milk.

I second sunshines Chia Pudding. It is very good. It is easy and you can make it chocolate. Lemon/orange. Whatever flavor you like.
seasame seed/date/agave/ raw chocolate balls. they are great. I use coconut but not sure if you can.
Go RAW has nut free facility only seeds and there stuff is pretty good.
Kale chips are really good too.
Summer is coming you can blend watermelon with lemon. Drink it or freeze it into popcicles.
This seems challenging but I know you will succeed since your such a caring mother.

More chia puddings: My 9 y.o dd invented this one: juice a watermelon and mix with chia seeds. she adds dried blueberries.
I mix coconut milk with chia seeds. Add cinnamon, a little vanilla, maybe sweeten the coconut milk with a date or two while making it. (I make it with truly raw organic dried coconut, mixed with water in a blender. Best if water gets or is warm as it gets more fat out....but not hot.
I like 3 parts liquid to one part chia. Kind of on the thick side.
You can also make other puddings with fresh frozen truly raw young coconut meat that you can find online. Just add flavorings: vanilla, cinnamon, etc...I get it from exoticsuperfoods.com

Vanilla chia pudding is delish!
A lot of people add nut milk to make chia pudding but I just add the chia seeds to water, agave and vanilla.

LOL, Walnutty, so simple. Sounds good. I just LOVE coconut milk though and love its richness. I'll have to try it your way. I'll bet it's good too! So easy.

These ideas are awesome. I love coconut milk too. I just recently started making mine and having it in granola cereal which is absolutely wonderful. I had regular milk not too long ago, and I was packed with mucous. I have been off of milk now and doing the coconut milk instead, and my sinus has never been clearer. How amazing!

Wow, can't believe I've never tried such a simple pudding. Sounds delicious. I might try it with coconut water instead of the water you mentioned. Ever tried it like that?
