I'm on my first week of trying to be 100% or at least high raw. I've really been listening to my body. The first few days I saw craving really juicy sweet fruits, so I ate a lot of water melon and coconut water. I was losing about a pound a day. Now for the past couple days I've been having a lot of nut based foods. Pates, raw cakes. . .I feel like I'm eating a lot but I feel really good! I'm just worried that I might be eating too much fat and oil.

You're doing great! Don't even worry about it. Remember that this is a transitional period, and what you want to eat now will probably be different from what you will want to eat in the future. I used to eat a lot a lot of nuts when I first went raw, but I don't eat them that much anymore. You'll eventually become more accustomed to the diet and discover even more satisfying things to eat. As for right now, just keep doing what's working for you and everything will work out!

Eat what you want as long as it is raw. There will be plenty of time to tweak it after your body has dumped the need for cooked food. Listen to your body.

There is the initial adjustment period for sure and don't let yourself be hungry. Eat!...the right living food

Eat what you want, what your body craves. I can't go a day without fruits and greens. I change my diet every so often. In the winter I seem to eat more nuts and seeds. Summer is fresh juicey fruit.

Resonate totally with the replies. Keep in mind that we need the good fat to lose the bad one. You are doing great.

One of my favorite things to eat when I let myself get so hungry that I need something quick and filling, is an avacado with some lemon juice, a little sea salt and pepper then put some sprouts in it, grab a spoon and waalaa. Filling and comforting.
I've been raw since 2/2/2012 and have lost 16lbs without counting calories or worrying about what or how much I eat. When the body says "I'm hungry"...I feed it:heart:

Good advice Cruditas. I like to keep some pre-made raw snacks ready for when I get cravings or when I get really hungry. That way, it's the closest and tastiest thing available and I'm not tempted to break the diet.
And great job mellow_yellow! The transition periods can be the toughest times.

I still eat a lot and I have been eating raw for just over a year. Eating if you need to and keep it up. Drink lots of water too as it will take you longer.
