Hi Everyone.

I decided to go RAW after coming down with a bad cold last week and within 3 days I felt alot better. So I decide to continue. Now I am 7 days in and having a hard time getting my energy up.

Over the last week I have been eating spinach and lots of fruits and vegetable, nuts salads along with smoothies. This morning for breakfast I had a green drink (kale, spinach, pineapple, Goji berries, wheatgrass, apple, strawberries). Not hungry but weak.

Any suggestion!!! I have to work 10 hours todays........

Renee

You may need to make more nutrient-dense meals. Maybe add much more fruit to your smoothies or some fats are just consume a larger amount.Keep experimenting to see what works for you. Usually I find most make the mistake of not eating enough, jut not realizing that raw works differently than cooked. Plus your body needs to get use to it.

It'll happen, you won't feel too good some days as your body begins to release all the past accumulations from all the garbage it's stored. Once you switch to a very clean way of eating such as 100% raw your body no longer has to process the toxins present in the common, "foods", that are found in the aisles of the grocery store. And now it is given a chance to release that accumulation, and as that happens you will have days where you just won't feel too good.

I'm a supporter of colon hydrotherapy for specifically this reason. The body is gonna release toxins and if they can't find their way out of your body quickly enough they get reabsorbed and make you feel ill, and then the process starts over again. That's why sometimes you may find stories of people who are 100% raw for a couple of years begin to get really sick. Their body has been trying to release toxins for a long time and they keep going back into the body to do more damage.

One other thing to consider is cutting out nuts for a couple of days and see how you feel. I've noticed that I can over do it on nuts and when I do I always regret it because they drag me down and make me feel bad.

My guess is that your body is using a lot of energy trying to eliminate the toxins in your body and that's why you feel drained. And really I don't know if this will help you out, but I would bet that once your colon is clear you'll feel much better. So you can continue with eating 100% raw and the fiber will eventually clean out your colon, and then you'll feel better. And if you're open to it consider colon hydrotherapy....IMO you'll feel a lot better much sooner.

Also increase your water intake it'll help your body to eliminate the toxins sooner.

I was thinking the same thing. I only had 5 hours of sleep. This is all new to me so I have not figured out how to measure my calories intake yet. I feel little better after I ate a pineapple.

Oh dear, 10 hours!

Hang in there sweet heart, you will be ok. You are detoxing full blast and it is all good because you will feel much better soon. Sleep as much it is possible in your busy life.

Your are doing great, your meal seems ok. Just make sure the nuts are truly raw and soaked.

Consider to book an appointment with the colon therapist. Having our colon wash out during detox, is so helpful and help to ease the symptom. Gravity technique is the best.

Hope you feel well soon, don't give up.

When you get time you can download this.

Play with it during the weekend and it will help you to get an indication of your calorie intake. Be warned that the calorie level that they say that you need is for SAD eaters so you will need more. They have me down as needing 1600 but I need 2K.

It appears to me that you need to eat more food!

This sounds normal to me. You could try eating more, but this could very well just be your body detoxing. I know that working 10 hours a day isn't helping, but Hang in there. This is a transitional period for you, and you'll soon go back to feeling great!

Detoxing and cleansing you might feel a little fatigued. Look up the symptoms of detox. Once thats ove you ll have a great new life.

Thanks Everyone for all your responses. I discovered that I was not eating enough food. Well once I discovered that I started to eat a HUGE salad with avocado and within 2 hours I was feeling ALOT better. Today I am feeling a lot better. However going though this transition can really play mind games on you. My body/mind is tell me to eat (Turkey Burger w/fries etc. ) and this is not working. Well after thinking about it, I am going to give it more time. With smiles I am ready for the weekend.
