Hi!
I'm new not only to this forum but to Raw Food living in general. I've been trying to just stock up on tons of raw food supplies like Raw Cacao, Raw Alomonds, Raw Agave etc etc and in the process I kinda end up buying things that I have NO IDEA how to use xD So I saw this website selling Grape Skin Flour for 50 percent off! So I bought a few bags considering they were only 6 dollars but now have no clue how to use them!!
Any suggestions>??

You can add it to smoothies and smoozies, I guess. Sprinkle it on salads and whatever else you eat. I have no clue what it tastes like... didn't even know there was such a thing.
My suggestion ~ find the recipes first, then get the ingredients to make them.

I agree with Rev. I bought a bunch of stuff when I went raw... tossed them in the garbage a year later :(
Rather than wasting money... just buy when you need when you need it.
and... welcome to raw!!!
oh and your best best best item in your kitchen............ *drum roll please*.............. a really good quality knife!!!

Thanks for the quick reply! Sadly Im the type of person that gets drawn in with good prices and big sales! :p SOmething about 50% Percent off seemed to good to pass up! :P But I agree that from now on I will try to get ideas first before I just stock up on ingredients. I've just been putting it in smoothies. If anyone else gets it and finds a good use for it feel free to tell me!
Thanks again

also, be careful what you buy that says raw on the package. Raw doesn't always mean raw!

Up to you yet, if you can't use it, you're not saving anything... actually, you're wasting money. How did you know it was a good price? 50% off? They couldn't sell it because no one knew how to use it so they were stuck with it.... well, before you came along. lol

I have no idea what it is really and how do they make it so that it counts as raw?

Well I had bought stuff from this company before and I really love their products, they had a sale on Coconut Spread for 6 bucks If I recall correctly and I LOVE coconut spread. So I thought I'd take a gamble with the grape skin powder. Its not bad in smoothies and from what I'm reading online has a huge ammount of beneifts.
From what I understand the Raw Grape Skin Powder comes from Certified organic vineyards in the Niagra region and then the skins are made into powder.

Grape Skin Flour
This raw, gluten-free byproduct of the Ontario wine industry can be used to create breads, enhance pastas, and flavour cakes. It can substitute regular flour in many recipes. Grape skin flour is an easy way to add the many health benefits that are carried by grapes and, more specifically grape skin, into your daily diet through the addition of the flour into many recipes. Grape Skin Flour contains a high amount of fibre and polyphenols, such as antioxidants and resveratrol. Resveratrol, which is found naturally in plants as a defense mechanism, has been shown to lower blood sugar levels, improve the immune system and aids in the protection of body cells. It has also been shown to help protect the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Packed with vitamins and minerals, grape skin is said to help fight carcinogens, lower cholesterol, diminish damage caused by stroke, help decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and improve metabolic rates which aid in weight management. In healthy individuals, grape skin can help reduce the clotting of blood, and reduce the risks of arteriosclerosis, stroke and heart attacks.
It sounds good and I am a bit like you, can not resist a bargain. Just add it to anything that you make and you will use it all up in no time.
