All raw.....awwww yeah. LOL

They sure do love me....and I love em right back. :-)

I ended up with right around 2.5 quarts of delicious honey from many mixed blooms so there's a lot of variation of plant nectar for a broader range of medicinal effect. ;-)

Yeah :-) ....I put the bees in this hive last June, and now I want a couple more hives. LOL I originally wanted bees on the property to increase the fruits on the trees and veggies in the garden, but the honey is a nice delicious gift as well. This is the first honey harvest they gave me. :-)

So jealous. I love fresh honey. I pay quite a bit for it. So many benefits for you.

Now tell me about royal jelly. Do you harvest that as well. I cannot get it down. Even though I am sure it will help with my hormones.

I'm happy that I won't be needing to buy any more raw honey. :-) I think the last jar I paid like $17 for a pound of raw. Kinda stupid that it costs less if it's cooked. LOL

I don't know a lot about getting royal jelly. I've never done it. But I've read and heard of people saying that's it's good for you. The bees make it and feed it to the larvae for I think, three days. Then they go to honey. But the queen bee is created by being fed royal jelly her whole life and the way it's harvested require lots of queen cells. So basically it requires one to create queenless hives where you continue to take out the queen cells and harvest the royal jelly, then the worker bees keep making queen cells and filling them with royal jelly. Seems like too much work for me.. LOL And I don't have a bee suit, so I don't wanna get em angry at me. LOL

But I do get propolis. It's actually a peppery spicy flavor and sticks to the back of your teeth. LOL I've just been picking it off the top bars that I harvested the honey from. Those dark orangish lines on the wood bars below the comb is the propolis.

I love fresh honey too. I am so lucky to have my friend that do own a farm bee. He is so amazing with his bees. He always leave the real honey to them for the winter.

People around you are lucky to have you, if you sell your honey.

All the best!
