Hi - happy to have found this forum. I have been raw for 3 weeks and have been having very little fat. 1-2 ounces of nuts or half an avo. In fact I have even reduced that fat intake as I am no longer losing weight. I came to this site becuase I am going a bit crazy with cravings and I was surprised to see that the idea here is that raw fat is not a problem. I hope that is true because I... well... LOVE fat. I would be grateful if anyone can point me to the evidence that raw fat is not a negative for health or weight gain. - Thanks

imo in its whole form such as avacado / nuts / seeds i let it roll
though yes it might put on fat so each individual has to experiment with limits if wanting to not pork out :D
but in its proccessed forms , including cold pressed oils im leary as oils an extremely concentrated / un-natural product which has been removed from its natural protective coating and exposed to air plus un natural container substances such as plastic . and whatever surfaces in factories
but for me i see the nuts / seeds / avacado / etc , fat rich whole stuff straight from ground , as what gives me energy / strength .
but im long term whole food vegan then 7 years ago started going back and forth between raw and high raw so i dont have any need to
lose weight

it's funny... I used to deep fry almost everything. I have been a vegetarian for 20+ years but fried a heap of tofu and I've even fried cheese. Now I am worried about a little cold pressed olive oil on my salad.
A couple other questions I have:
I have been using organic mustard on lettuce sandwiches. what ya think?
Also I have been using hot peppers which I have heard are toxic. Any thoughts?
And one more... I cannot afford organic produce (too many mouths to feed) so all my food is sprayed. How bad is that?
Thanks!

Sometime, you need the good fat in order to lose the bad one. My first year of raw food, i went underweight and i would engorge on raw gourmet nut base, lol....
The more you do a detox (no fat), the more your gland system will normalize. So it is good from time to time, to take a brake but in the mid time, eat without guilt and follow the guidance of your body.

I have increased my fat for the past few days. More soaked nuts, more aco. I feel sooo much better physically doing this. :)

Use this to guide you as to what you should prioritise when choosing to get organic or nit.
