Rawdawg Rory has a recipe on You Tube using mushrooms to make a soy like sauce to use instead of soy sauce. Also, you can purchase sunflower lecithin to use instead of soy lecithin.

Thanks for the replies.

walnutty - I will look up the video. I HATE mushrooms but maybe it won't really taste like them. I've never heard of sunflower lecithin. I'll look for it. Thanks!

Davylp25 - I have been using coconut aminos in place of nama shoyu and wasn't sure that was ok since most of the recipes I've used it in, turned out nasty. I think I just don't like the recipes and it has nothing to do with the aminos.

Hmm I believe Red River Miso company makes a Tamari from Chickpeas, or Adzuki bean. The taste? I never tried. But it may be an option

I heard this too ... or more likely I read it. I haven't tried it either.

i can say this about raw sesame oil - oil pull with it for ten minutes each day for about two weeks and you'll be very surprised at how clean and white your teeth get . very surprised

Hello MR,

I keep on meaning to try oil pulling. What puts me off is the texture of oil in my mouth - but we are getting off topic.

Beside the suggestion given to you, you can just use sea salt/Himalayan salt instead.

You can also make a sort of version with portabella mushroom

http://www.southrivermiso.com/store/c/8-Tamari.html

They even have Azuki bean tamari. I really wanna try these for the taste. They are costly though.

Off top..
Also, does the sesame need to be cold pressed and in dark bottles? That spectrum looks like a clear bottle, or is it different when just using as a mouthwash?

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

Looks to be around the same price as Nama Shoyu...
