Hey everyone... as many of you know I've been away for 6 weeks. I was at an Ashram in the Bahamas taking my Yoga Instructors Course. It was very intensive... with less than two hours a day of 'free time' to do our homework and wash our laundry and oh... I don't know... relax for a moment so I wasn't here. I am back now though. If you emailed me during that time... I wasn't able to respond as my email server didn't allow me to email back from there (it's a local server for Canada).
So... in short... if you have an issue you need dealt with, please shoot me an email and I'll get it handled.
A huge thank you to GoodCat - Cathy for holding down the forum while I was gone.
I have surgery next week (hysterectomy) so I'll be offline for a bit at that time, but not like I have been over the past 6 weeks.

oh gosh I wish I had the time to rock the waves... I spent all my time in classes. It was insane how busy I was. I don't even have a tan LOL
I did get time in the ocean in the last two days. I studied for my exam standing in the ocean and then after my exam we spent time relaxing waiting for our graduation ceremony to begin. And yes... I will eventually have photos online. At this time... I'm wading through hundreds of emails and attempting to get over a cold we both acquired on the way home. (BTW jet lag sucks)
Wishing you all the best with the surgery, Aleesha. I hope all goes well and that you make a speedy recovery.
Arky.

thanks Arky. I'm not thrilled to be having it... but it's necessary. Fortunately my new hubby (got married in the Bahamas) will be bringing me lovely raw food delights to eat while I'm there for three days. Hospital food is less than healthy IMO.

Aleesha: Welcome back, and a big congrats on your wedding, seems like you two are a great match. I am sorry to hear that your are having surgery but hope it goes well, I dodged that bullet myself a couple of years ago and am hoping to hang on to all the body parts I can from now on. You are right hospital food is so unhealthy, glad to hear Parz is bringing you some healing food to encourage a quick recovery.
Sending you warm thoughts, positive energy and hugs.

no i wasn't fasting although i wanted to. i was at an ashram being certified as a yoga instructor. very intensive program. less than two hours a day free time, the rest was classes, working in the kitchen and sat sang.
it was very cleansing, healing and created so much growth within...
but i would have LOVED to have fasted thru it. that would have been amazing!!!

Congratulations on your marriage.
Oh my a hysterectomy! I just can't, in good conscience, keep quiet, so pls forgive me: but so many women get unnecessary hysterectomies - most often due to bleeding fibroids...often due to estrogen dominance. There are many things you can do to avoid them. Pls research your head off before you go this route.

i'm back again... after my surgery.
surgery went well. there were some complications but all in all (in the end) everything went beyond great. i was able to keep my ovaries :throwhearts: which makes me beyond giddy with glee
recovery has been tough though - definitely hardest recovery from anything ever in my life. took almost two days for me to fully wake up after surgery. but... i'm home now and getting more mobile every day.
arnica is my best friend :wuv (other than my super supportive new hubby!!!)
so... i'm back fully, ready to assist you all in any way you need assisting. sorry for the delays in the last while and thank you ALL for your amazing support.
THIS FORUM RAWKS!!!

Oh! I'm sorry I missed this before you had your surgery. I wanted to offer well wishes. I can totally understand. I had a hysterectomy last May. Recovery is difficult but you'll get through. I had a serious infection that put me in the hospital for 8 days post surgery, and I will pray that you make a speedy recovery. :D For me, having the hysterectomy was the best decision I ever made. I'm cancer free for almost one year now. I'm glad you were able to keep your ovaries!!!!!
Feel better, hydrate, hydrate!!! I know for you that wouldn't be a problem. :D
Much love and hugs sent your way!!!

Actually when I went on my fancy scale today it said I was dehydrated and I realized that I've been drinking little so I didn't have to go to the bathroom as much. So... I've upped my water intake nicely today. Taking numerous sips (takes one now)
Thanks sooooo much for your well wishes and I'm sooooo happy to hear you are cancer free for a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT is GREAT news!!! (((hugs)))

Aleesha, I would like to offer well wishes!
I'm curious about your fancy scale and want to get one. Do you have the Tanita BC554 Ironman?
Sending you love and hugs!

Thanks Aleesha!!! ::HUUUUUGGGS:: I'm curious about this scale as well...never heard of one that can tell if you are dehydrated. I could use something like that, as I don't drink as much as I should either. It's not that I don't like to drink...I just sort of forget. lol
It's great to have you back!

it checks your BMI and within those calculations it also tells you how hydrated you are. it's made by taylor. i'll see if i can get a link:

most scales that do BMI (if not all) tell you how hydrated you are. ;) don't have to be expensive at all.
