I have a ringworm-type of rash on my leg which hasn't gone away in 2 months since I went on a high-raw diet lifestyle. I also somehow pulled a muscle in the middle of the left side of my back, and it HURTS. I read somewhere on another raw site that someone suggested doing a juice fast to help speed up healing. Would doing a smoothie or juice fast help get rid of this ridiculous rash? It is beyond annoying and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. It should be gone by now, but it's not. So, would doing a smoothie or juice fast for a day or 2 help it go away? If so, does it matter if you do smoothies or juice, or does one work better than the other? I feel like I would be hungry all the time doing just juice... any info would be very much appreciated.

I think that you would need to do more than a day or two for the benefits to be felt.

fasting is detoxing and healing but you never really know what your body is going to choose to heal. and two days isn't nearly long enough for any real healing to take place. deeper healing comes after the 21 day mark in a fast.
also, the more your body works for it's nutrition the slower the healing portion of the fast. so juice is more healing than smoothies. water is more healing than juice.
green juices are more healing, whereas fruit juices are more cleansing...
neem oil can clear up ringworm if it's a good quality oil. you can fast, but fasting isn't a cure all of everything under the sun.
