So today I have officially gone 100% raw, and I just made an AMAZING salad dressing that I absolutely loved. The thing is, it contained dijon mustard, which I'm pretty sure isn't raw.
I heard that using condiments isn't a huge deal when you're first starting raw, but I was still wondering. I don't see it as too much of a big deal as it was only for a dressing, all the main food I eat is totally raw.

Look for recipe, you can make a raw version with mustard seed.

I do things like that from time to time. I don't think it's a huge deal to use one small ingredient in a dressing (which is an even smaller part of your over all meal).
Best to avoid it and slowly find ways of replacing these little things.
I may make my own mustard at some point. Anyone got a good recipe for it?
I imagine soaking the seeds in vinegar. Then just a mix of the seeds crushed up, vinegar, honey and salt?

Somebody...Raweater? posted a while back about making his own mustard. I don't recall all the details, but it sounds like too much complication for the small amount I eat. There's some way that it needs to be cured...or something...Maybe do a search on it.
