Nuts or seeds and water or coconut water. I think cashews work really well. You can really have fun with nut milks too you can add strawberries, cacao, vanilla bean, cinnamon etc. For. Basic nut milk throw a forth of a cup of nuts into blender, 5 cups of water, a pinch of sea salt, a sweetner like agave honey or dates and blend!

I thought this was one of those threads that was going to be deleted. Most people think of raw milk as milk straight from the cow, that hasn't been pasteurized. My mistake, carry on.

It seems most people tend to use (soaked) almonds, but our favorite is Brazil Nut Milk. We use 1 cup Brazil nuts (soaked overnight in water - discard water). Put in high powered blender and add 4-5 cups water. Blend.

Now I strain it and put the milk back into the blender and add (like cocomamba) a pinch of sea salt and dates (soaked overnight and use the soak water as part of the 4-5 cups water). Blend - enjoy!

You can also use hemp seeds. Your milk will be packed with omega 3/6 and have many essential amino acid. I sometime use a banana or a piece of it, to sweet it.

If you choose to make it from a nut such almond, you can dehydrate the almond pulp and use it for sweet pastry or pizza dough.

Yes.. we don't talk about animal products here,, But... raw nut or seed milks is fine.

You can make raw nut or seed milks from just about any nut or seed you enjoy.

We make almond, Brazil nut (like Deb said ..its amazing), hazel nut (which is wonderful with raw cocoa), sunflower, etc.

One of my favorite raw food coaches, Karen Knowler, has a video on making raw almond milk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhlwtHA6MSg It may be helpful to you.
