Yes, you can still do it with conventional produce...not ideal, but far better then SAD (Standard American Diet). You could probably afford some organic sprouting seeds though...a pound of alfalfa seeds, for example, yields about 7 pounds of sprouts. That's about a dollar per pound for the freshest greens you'll ever get!

You possibly could do conventional produce, but be careful of stuff available in supermarkets. In Australia the two big supermarkets illegally irradiate all their food (biggest kept secret in the fruit and vegie business...no-one knows about it except a few people. l have inside information), so maybe choose a small fruit and vegie store to do your shopping, because if irradiation happens in Australia it probably happens in other places.

Make sure to shop around. Try to find farmers markets or co-ops in your area. Buy whats on sale and whats in season. IF you have room grow some of your own. You can do it. YOu will need the raw energy chasing 3 kids im sure.

Check at your farmer market. Many produce fresh fruit/vegetables with no pesticide. They aren't certified organic but they are good farmers.
You can start sprouting. Search on this board how, it has been discuss in details. Allissa shows in her DVD how to do this in general. Sprouting cost pennies and it is pack with life force because it is fresh.
ALL THE sad food that you aren't buying anymore and the medicine that won't be needed anymore, you can use this money. Berries should always be organic. Tomato if they are grown in a green house are fine but if they aren't organic and conventional they can be toxic. Research what is ok to be conventional. Banana, avocado, mango and tropical fruits are what i allow myself to buy none organic unless it is available.
Hold the vision that you are provided to buy what is best for you, surround this vision with love and let go. The power of the mind has no limitation. When i decided to go organic, i had a 5% raise at my work. Trust and you will be provide.
Dead food is economical but this is death that you put in your body. If you buy only banana and apple for a while this is ok. You will find a way. I used to spend a fortune on food and now my cost has reduced significantly because i simply eat different now, less and fresh. I understand that in the beginning you will need the gourmet. Sunflower seed are economical and they are versatile.
All the best!

These are great ideas Thank You. The only one I can't use right now is the farmers market. I live in Massachusetts and the farmers markets haven't started yet because of winter.

Yes, you can absolutely do this with non-organic produce! There's no denying that eating 100% organic, locally grown, in season produce is ideal - but not achievable by most.
I've been eating this way 4+ years and do not eat 100% organic. I eat organic what I can (and what I can afford) and the rest is non-organic. I do the best I can with what's available to me in our town and call 'r good.
Best wishes!

You should do a search for different place. I am in Canada and we have a farmer market on winter and organic farmer. They have a green house on winter and produce some product still. Just check.

I tried this once and got a bag of oranges and apples but I haven't done it since. I went to the dumpster behind the grocery store it was full and on top was oranges and apples. I grabbed a bag of each. The apples were bruised but great for applsause. I had to throw 2 oranges away they were cracked. There are people who do this for there whole supply. Freegans. just an idea. I love free stuff so I had to try it.
