View Full Version : Ideas on fruit

For a long time while being raw, I couldn't tolerate fruit at all. I would get headaches, my jaw would lock up, my stomach would hurt like crazy and I get general muscle aches. And that was eating it completely alone. I know many people eat a lot of fruit for calories. Right now I can tolerate a few pieces of apple and a little banana and a few grapes (not all at once, of course--maybe one or two occasions during a day). More than that and I'm in pain. Does anyone else have this experience or any suggestions as to how to get through this? I've gone for years being raw without fruit, but from reading your posts and Alissa's info, it has caused me try to eat the fruit...just not with much success yet.

If eating fruit made me sick or feel bad or if it did not taste good to me I would not eat it. Everyone else could be talking about how good it taste how great it makes them feel etc. etc. But I would not eat it. I know everyone here says we are all different and while I totally agree I also think we are more alike than we are different. Having said that I believe fruit has a natural part in the human diet. In other words I would bet that if I was unattracted to eating fruit for whatever reason, and I stayed away from it, that eventually I would begin to find it appealing, but I would not force it.
