Well, I've been meaning to try it in smoothies as a creamy base for months and months..... and finally I did! WOW, was that great! I used it as a base in an orange juilius type smoothie and am going to start using it in other blends as well.

Just wondering how others are using this -- or any other nut or seed mylks? Prior to this, I had only tried cashew and almond.

I'm guessing it's high in protein, calcium and good fats.... any other benefits?

Thanks, people! :heart

Awesome qwerty! I've never tried sesame seed milk.

How did you make it?

I just poured in around a quarter cup into the Vitamix, added around a cup of water, and blended till it was all white and creamy looking. Voila!

Michigan Roman's always recommending using seed mylks, so I finally gave it a try!

If you sprout the sesame seeds beforehand there will be other benefits (massive increases in vitamins and enzymes, increased availability of minerals, dramatically increased life force).

Thanks LF ~ I've never sprouted sesame seeds. Do they actually sprout or are they a soak? I'm all for sprouting things first!

I'm honestly so tired of hearing about sprouts that I'm not interested in sprouting anything anymore.

They sprout, but most people like them when the tails are very short as they get more bitter the longer you sprout them.

That's unfortunate...maybe there's a reason that you keep hearing about them? Might it have something to do with the health benefits? *smile*

I'll give that a try next time - thanks LF!
