Hi everyone!

I would like to eat every meal for 30 days right here with my RFT family!!! I will be using RFFE, LOLF, as well as other Raw recipes and posting photos of everything that I eat. My promise to you is that I will try to post all of the meals I'm eating. I'll try to give you a heads up about what I'm fixing, but sometimes I'm eating what I feel at the time, so at times it's spontanious.

There are a few recipes that I haven't tried from Alissa's 2 books, so I will be searching through them and making some new meals to inspire myself. Some days I do eat very simply, other days I want the MAJOR raw meal. So, it just depends on what my body is craving. I try to listen to my body and let it tell me what I want...most of the time. LOL!!!

I hope that you find this thread inspiring! :throwhearts:

O.k., let's get started!

This morning for breakfast I wanted something juicy, so I ate a mono-meal of Red Grapes. About 20 minutes later, I craved some bananas, so I ate 2 of them:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/1332352016.jpg

For lunch today, I had a Greek Pizza left over from my raw biz, so I warmed it up in the dehydrator and devoured it!

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6604.jpg

I soaked some Almonds yesterday, so I did nibble on a few of those too...what can I say, I'm totally addicted to nuts! :kisses:

My kids are asking for a Smoothie, so I'm gonna take Alissa's suggestion in RFFE and make Pineapple, Strawberry, and Banana today! I've never tried that combination, but it sounds really yummy! My Pineapples are frozen, but hopefully that won't matter. It sounds like it's gonna be farely thick, so I may need to add some H2O...but I'll make it like this and see if I get enough liquid from the Strawberries. I'll post a photo when it's done!

For dinner today, I'm planning to have the Zucchini Pasta with Marinara Sauce. It's already done and in the frig, so it's a no brainer.

ReneeH

O.k., so my daughter wants to make the Smoothie, so she washed the Strawberries, http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8049.jpg

and she added the rest of the ingredients and used the Tamper to blend everything.

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5177.jpg

and, here is the Smoothie:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_4409.jpg

In her words... "WOW!!!! YUMMMMMYYYY!!!!"

Of course, it's Super Duper Sweet...SOOO, of COURSE she LOVES it!!!! LOL!!!!!! For me, I had to add more Banana and less Pineapple and a little Water to mellow it out a bit. But, it's really good! I have absolutely had my fill of fruit today!!!! I feel TOTALLY buzzed with all this sugar, though!!!! I think I'll go clean my ENTIRE house now!!!!! :excited:

Hey yau'll!!! So nice to see so many here!!! Thanks for the cheering section!!! :)

I forgot that I had to work at my raw kitchen last night, so I'll have my Zucchini Pasta for Lunch tomorrow....actually it's tomorrow already!!!! Hehehe!!! I'm just walking through the door. I just nibbled for dinner on what I was making. I did bring home a couple of raw meals that I made, but I'm gonna try not to do that this month for those of you who are following me.

So, get out your Spiralizers and make some Pasta with me for Lunch!!! :-). The recipe is in both of Alissa's books. I'm having Date Nut Torte for dessert, so make that too...if you can.

See ya MUCH later in the morning!!!

I just LOVE you guys!!! ((((HUGGGSSSS))))

Today I slept in late and I'm just now eating for the 1st time today. Here's my Zucchini Pasta w/Marinara Sauce for Brunch...straight from the frig. I love it with Mushrooms and Carrot ribbons!!! I used to make Walnut Pâté Meatballs, but I eat too many Nuts, do I needed to cut back on them, so now I just eat the Pasta.

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0226.jpg

I don't like it cold, so I put it in the Big "D" and warm it up to take off the chill. See, it even looks better this way:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_7918.jpg

After Lunch, I needed something sweet, so Alissa's Date Nut Torte really hit the spot!:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5044.jpg

Yummmmy!!!!!!! You know, I make this so many times and it's just as delicious every time I eat it!!!! It's so simple to make, but fabulous!!!!!

Not sure what I'll do for dinner tonight. I'm craving a Watemelon, so I'll probably go get one and bask on that for a while and see where the wind blows me! :-)

If you made the Zucchini too, tell me about yours!!! :)

Oh, I also ate 3 Clemintines...

ReneeH

Hey T-Bird!!!!

It's absolutely FABULOUS!!!! I'm totally living my dream! I quit my job as a flight attendant back in December last year, so I'm working my raw business full time! I just love what I do now! I have many clients who order each week! I'm having so much fun!!!! Much of the food that I make at my kitchen I eat at home. I love being able to just go to the frig and get something already done. I make 15 different raw meals in 2 days every week! Sometimes I amaze myself with what I do. It's definitely a huge part of my life and it all started with taking Alissa's class!!!! :)

Oh, I'm Snacking on a Banana and Clementines! Yummm!!!

Thanks you guys! Appifanie, actually I work in a Certified Kitchen outside of my home. The state of TX won't allow you to do that from your home...bummer!!!!!

I went to an Asian Restaurant and got a Salad. I'm not a purist, so their Lime Vinegarette doesn't bother my conscience. I know I should bring my own, but sometimes I just don't feel like it. I dont sweat the small stuff. Sorry, just being honest. I also do have an Avocado, but I forgot to put it in the photo!

Hi! I'm woke from a quick nap hungry as a bear!!!! So, I took a Corn on the Cobb and rubbed it down with Avocado and sprinkled it with Sea Salt. Then I made Alissa's Tomato, Mushroom, and Basil Salad on page 450 in LOLF...YUMMMMMMY!!!!!

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_1397.jpg

This is one of my favorite simple recipes! I put some leftover Avocado in it too (after I took the photo). Go easy on the Garlic, though. The flavors from the Tomato and Basil really come alive as the marinate and you get to really appreciate them!!!

I got the corn idea years ago from this site... I forgot who it was, but thank you!!!! :). It's just like Alissa's Corn Chowder...without the Almond Milk. Sooooo Goooood!!!!

I'm making Alissa's Kale Salad on page 456 LOLF for lunch today. My then, it should be marinated well and ready to devour! I have never made this one...I've been making the one from Cornbleet's book cuz I love Black Olives and that version is DELISH!!! Alissa's got some yummy things to say about this one, so I'll give it a try.

To go with that, I'll have Stuffed Portobello Mushroom Caps pg 389 LOLF.

I've been wanting to respond to this thread since you started it, but my life hasn't been very conducive to getting on the computer lately. Too much... stuff.... going on in my life. :/ I've been reading by my phone though! :)

I just wanted to say that I love this thread! Thanks so much for sharing with us. I love to see pictures and see what others make during the day. My diet lately is grab a piece of fruit or some nuts or a vegetable and run or grab a salad when out.

I have made Alissa's massaged kale salad and I really like it. In fact, my whole family fights over the last bite, lol. :) I hope you enjoy it! And that granola looks delightful!  :throwhearts:

9060I LOVE the raw corn and avocado (lunch today, with a little sea salt), and know that this is going to be a summer staple.

Thank you for doing this, and thank you for including the page numbers. I'll be making the Tomato, Mushroom, and Basil Salad for dinner tonight, and prob the Stuffed Portabella Mushroom Caps too since they are similar. Going to start soaking buckwheat today for the granola. Granola is on page 198 (not 189-small typo). I'm really enjoying the torte - it is the lemon that makes it.

I eat a lot of taco salad, but haven't really found a great chip recipe yet. Most of the ones I try, the corn in them kinda sticks to my teeth, and they are crispy, just not regular chip crispy. ....but, I still think they are yummy yummy with my taco salads!

Bought some fresh herbs today to plant (spring fever), and tried something new - Kiwiberries. They taste like Kiwi, but have a slight bitter aftertaste. I like Kiwi better, but these were good. ...made my tongue burn a little after I ate them, but I would eat them again.

If you are going to make the LOLF Calzone during this 30 days, please give us an advance notice so we can shop and soak and get it ready with you. Previously, I've heard so much about how good this way, but when I tried to make it, I failed. 9059

It's Carrots, my favorite Green Smoothie (Spinach, Banana & Mango), celery (I eat it like popcorn), and orange pieces.

As you can probably tell by now, I keep pretty crazy hours. So I have to snack on the road to stay awake sometimes. Crunching Carrots is the best.

He did well for his first time making fresh juice!!!!! Of course, he did leave my kitchen a mess (not allowed!) and only 1/2 washed my juicer, but the end result was my juice so I guess I shouldn't complain.

Next, I'm making the Lemon-Limeade from RFFE, page 190. I'm sure I'll love it cuz it's similar to the Lemonade that I make when I do the MC and I love that.

I feel like having some Suchi or a Gorilla Sandwich today! Not sure which, so stay tuned!!!

Harmayanigrengel, thank you for posting! I need to explain that I an not doing the 30 day plan in LOLF....although I have done it in the beginning of my journey (see the link in my signature line), taking photos along the way. When I did it, I found it to be a relief not to think about what I was going to make. Alissa makes that easy for you with a menu all laid out and a shopping list to stock up on what you need for the week.

However, that was in 2007. Today I eat simply most days, and then other days I want the big gourmet meal. Alissa said that would happen eventually. People who have been eating raw for years are satisfied with the simple things of Raw, especially many 100% Raw Foodists. Just looking back at my week so far you can see that I do eat a lot of fruit. I try to give my body a break on Mondays, but I don't eat the huge gourmet meal every day. I also have a raw business, so that makes it easy for me to eat delicious raw meals without a lot if effort too.

Everybody's different. Some jump right into 100% Raw...for others, like me, it takes some time. Some don't have to cook food for tgeir Darling Spouses...others, like me...do, which makes eating raw a challenge. But, I get around it by not standing over the stove too long. I make my raw meals FIRST, so that I already have in my mind that my meals are done and im feeding my body the best food available...its my personal choice. And I don't cook my formerly favorite cooked meals....I don't even BUY the SAD snacks I used to like. I buy them things I know won't tempt me.

Also, I don't beat myself up for the little things. I think what's most important is what you accomplish along the way. I don't think of slip-ups as failing or starting over just as if I'm in the middle of a stairwell if I take a step back I don't go back down and start all over again. Even if it's challenging for you, don't give up!!!!! It's a journey...it's a choice, not a religion. When you make the choice every day you will eventually reach your goal, whatever % raw that may be. Be kind to yourself along the way. After all, maybe you've eaten SAD all your life. Be patient and change will come. :-)

Ok!!! Time for Lunch! Here's my Gorilla Sandwich in the making:

First, I hollowed out my Cucumber:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6254.jpg

I used this tool. It's a Melon Baller:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5734.jpg

I will save the Balled Cucumber, add some Tomatoes & Herbs for a delicious salad...for later.:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_4146.jpg

Then, I proceeded to make the inside layers. The recipe says to layer each fruit/veggie/nut, but I prefer to mix them all together and add them in that way:

First, I started with Fruit...Mango, Apple (Organic Pink Lady, of course!), and Bananas:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0528.jpg

ReneeH
03-27-2012, 01:52 PM
Then, I added Dates, Button Mushrooms, Avocado, and Raisons:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5446.jpg

After that, I added the Nut of Choice, Walnuts:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_9503.jpg

Now, it's time to stuff the Cucumber!!!!

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6607.jpg

For the cut-off piece on top, I filled it in with Black Olives:

The recipe says to stick it in this way:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6738.jpg

But, I turned mine over and stuck it in this way:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8642.jpg

http://www.khou.com/great-day/inside/gdh_recipe1_061510-96370379.html

There are many floating out there, but I use this one cuz its simple.

Thank you Rene ~ I saw your photo and it just looks SO tasty, I want to give it a try. Thank you for the recipe link! ((hugs))

Thanks for the step by step for the Gorilla Sandwich. I've always wanted to make one, but just never had, but after seeing your pics, I'm going to do it tomorrow. ...what a great way to take lunch to work! I'm not keeping up with you very well because I am still enjoying corn with the avocado (and salt), and the Tomato, Mushroom, and Basil Salad. ....but I'll pick up a cauliflower on the way home today to get ready for the nori rolls.

You're welcome Deb!!! Let me know how they turn out for you!!!

Hi Chaos!!! I'm so glad you liked the pictures!!! Man, I TOTALLY devoured that Sandwich!!!! Make sure you put the Banana and Avocado!!! The creaminess really made it come together!!! I'm glad you posted...I was wondering how you were doing! I liked the Nori Rolls very much, but I like using Jicama even more than Califlower. It's really good!!!!

Here is my breakfast this morning:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5959.jpg

I wanted to make the Morning, Noon, and Night Pancakes in RFFE page 203, but I was missing too many ingredients. I did have the ingredients to make the Banana Nut ones by MaRaw (Anna). I'd you do a search on this site you'll find the recipe.

I'm craving Bar-be-que!!! So, I'm gonna make Alissa's Barbecue Sauce in RFFE page 307 and use a Marinated Portobello in it. I've never made this sauce before, so I'm really excited to see how it turns out!!!! Stay tuned!!!! :-)

Thank you Rene ~ I saw your photo and it just looks SO tasty, I want to give it a try. Thank you for the recipe link! ((hugs))

Hey Deb, BTW...let it marinate at least 30 minutes. It's even better if you put it in the dehydrator while marinating. Also, if you have leftovers, don't let the Fajitas sit in the liquid overnight or it will turn to mush! Best way for me...put mixture in a colander to drain into another bowl. :)

Fresh Apple Juice...Yummm!!!! :-)

I haven't been very hungry today...just very thirsty. So, I'm gonna make the Barbeque tomorrow and just stick with fruit the rest of the day. Those pancakes this morning with the nuts really satisfied me! I did have a simple Salad for lunch, but I really haven't been very hungry at all. So, I'll check back in with ya tomorrow. :-)

Renee, you are so amazing! I love this thread! I used to come on these boards a lot but somehow got sidetracked... do you remember my screen name? Anyway.. I will be in the Houston area from mid July until mid August and I was wondering if you are doing any sort of class then or if I could possibly just get together with you to talk raw food... also, do you know of any raw food restaurants or cafes in Houston? I'd really love to go up there and have a nice raw meal made by someone else! ;)

anyway.. thanks again for this great thread! You are a rawk star!

Thanks RawAngelMom!!!! Man, you are B-R-A-V-E to be looking here water fasting!!!!! I totally couldn't do that! I wanna be like YOU when I grow up!!!!!! :cheer:

Well, I made the Barbeque Sauce and well....here it is...

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8543.jpg

Looks pretty, huh? O.K., first taste I'm like....hummm.....? I definitely tasted the Beets. Second taste I'm thinking...it's good, but not great. Then I went on to cut the Portobellas and put them in a baggie and poured the sauce on top. Suddenly I stopped and OMGGGGGGGGGGG!!! The flavors in my mouth just POPPPPPPPED!!!!!!!!! I'm salivating!!!!!!!!!!!! LOLLLL!!!!!!! OMG!!!! This is GOOOD!!!!!! My mouth is LOVING this!!!

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5332.jpg

I must admit, in the baggie it looks like blood!!!!! LOL!!!!! It's not "exactly" like barbeque sauce I was used to, but MAN, it's GOOOOOOD!!!!!! I can't wait till it marinates a while!

ReneeH
03-29-2012, 05:17 PM
YEA BABY!!!!! This is GREAT!

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3304.jpg

I really like this! I don't know if I would say it's "Bar-be-QUE", but it's got my vote!!! :woot:

I put my baggie in the dehydrator which turned the color of the sauce to a nice brown color, which LOOKED more like the barbeque sauce I'm used to. But, I'm wondering if I should have used a smaller beet. Next time I make that I will keep that in mind because the beet overpowered it at first, but it's REALLY good!!!

I still need to prepare food for them even when i fast and work. That is life, i cannot wait for the ideal condition to do this because as a mother the opportunity are quite slim. Anyway, i enjoy your thread and you rock girl.

Is this mushroom with your barbecue? Also, is the barbecue sauce is in Allissa's book? I got both of her book.

This SERIOUSLY makes me crave raw pizza. Send me some? ;)

4 Clemintines and 2 Bananas this morning. I also had 1/2 of a Grapefruit. I know it doesn't sound like that goes together well, but I ate them separately.

ReneeH
04-03-2012, 10:49 AM
Yea....I'm a crazy NUT!!!!!

LOL!!! Actually, I do a LOT of prep work in the wee hours of the morning. That works for me. I also try to choose easy recipes that I do a lot and I cut a lot of Alissa's recipes down to one-two servings. Especially if I'm the only one eating it. I like variety and get bored easily, so I make several recipes in a week's time. I know that some people can't do that, but I cook different things for Darling Hubby, so why shouldn't I have a variety too. :)

Today has proven to be a hectic homeschool day, so I'm gonna have to make the Eggplant Pizza tomorrow. I have all of the ingredients, though. Alissa's Chili is one of the FEW things I DO like as leftovers (it's even better the 2nd day!!!!!), do I'm having that today for dinner with fruit and Salad for Lunch. I will make my kids a Smoothie too, so I'm pretty set for the day! :)

Yes!!! *It's from LOLF (pg # in above text):

The scraps from the pizza are soaking to make Eggplant Bacon:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2070.jpg

I also made Almond Milk:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_5678.jpg

Actually, I double strain mine to get out all of the pulp....I rinse my blender and then, using the top part of the Nut Bag, I strain my Milk again....

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_6222.jpg

See how much more pulp you get out:

Then, I use a funnel and put it in my bottle:

Hi Renee,
Thanks for taking the time to post the pics. I started raw 5 weeks ago kept it pretty simple no gourmet stuff but I now I feel I can start making more complex dishes. I made a raw hummus that was pretty good.
I must order a dehydrator today so I can make a lot of the delicious dishes you are making.

Hi Cai!!! Thanks for stopping by! Oh you can TOTALLY go gourmet! A dehydrator really helps. It's like opening up a whole new world to you....a world of Pizza, Calzones, Crackers, Burgers!!!

My first Dehydrator was a Walmart special for like $30.00. I really love my Excalibur, though. Hey, let me know when you get one and I'll do a simple recipe with ya!!! :-)

My Pizza turned out as delicious as I remembered. I used to make this a LOT years ago, then got distracted with other recipes and forgot how easy and GREAT this is! The Spinach/Pine Nut/Mushroom combination is just delicious!!!!

ReneeH

Ate Granola Cereal w/Almond Milk for Breakfast, then ate 1/2 of a Pineapple!!!! It was SUPER Sweet!!! Still got a few Pizzas left, but I'm not sure they'll be good today, so I may compost them and fix something new... My Eggplant Bacon is ready now, so I may make a wrap with that... I'll let you know...

UPDATE::::: The Eggplant Pizzas totally went to the compost...IN MY MOUTH!!!!!! They were even BETTER the next day!!! I didn't when warm them in the Big "D"!!! The key is to let the Crust get firm, but not too hard....don't break your teeth or anything!!! Hehehe!!! Refrigeration will soften the crust a bit, so make sure it's firm going in there.

Hey ShelShel!!!!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Today's Smoothie is from RFFE, page 180. It is Cashew, Banana, Strawberry:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_2234.jpg

I only had 5 Strawberries, so it's not as sweet as I'd like it to be. It's very thick, so I added more water and ice and that thinned it a bit. I actually like creamy Smoothies, but I think I will use less Cashews, if I make it again. I usually stay away from Nut Smoothies cuz I snack on nuts during the day, but I felt like trying one today. I prefer Green Smoothies to Nut ones. This one's not my favorite...but it's ok.

Just been snacking on fruit while I've been rippin' and runnin' all over town. I bought a Pineapple to make the Pineapple Cake from LOLF. It smells SOOOO sweet on the butt of it!!!!! I just wanna rip it open!!!! But....I'm gonna wait for my Buckwheat to sprout.

So sorry you're in pain! I hope it all went well...hydrate (and if pain pills are an option, take them). I'm headed for some knee surgery on the 24th. I can't help but feel that I've ruined my body with SAD all those years, and even though I'm raw now, I am still paying the price.

Good luck and feel better!!!!

Morning everyone! Thanks you guys for the well wishes! I feel much better today. Yesterday after surgery my Nurse said the the pain would be between 4-5 (out of 10) the rest of the day, and she was right! I was cramping till early this morning, but then suddenly it stopped. They gave me meds in the hospital and when I got home, but they barely took the edge off. I still feel dizzy and weak, though...which is normal and probably from the sudden fast yesterday. I Googled Thermachoice and read about it, so what I'm experiencing is "normal" for this type if surgery.

I'll be off from work and resting a few days. I still have food from my raw biz to eat, so I'm all set today and my kids promised to make me a Smoothie for breakfast. I promised my Hubby I'd be a good girl and rest today and not be rearranging the furniture or anything!!!! LOL!!!!! (He SOOOO knows me!!!).

Tootles for now!

Hugs,
Née

Oh sweet heart, i had no clue that you had to go through surgery. Oh mye. Do you allow me to send distance healing (i am a Reiki Master). Until then, i pray for you for an easy and effortless healing.

oh dear. Stick to fruit juice, such orange juice. They are easy to digest and you will need your energy to recover quicker.

Thx RawAngelMom!!! I love any positive energy that I can get! :hug

I tried to eat some grapes and oranges, but I'm still dizzy and the fruit is making me nauseous. I'm sipping on more Raspberry Tea (it's supposed to support female organs), and water. I'll probably try a Smoothie later... Gonna go rest now.

Are you starting a cold, your lungs feel congested.

I could sense the energy going strongly in you, just enjoy the ride and sleep if you are tired.

The good news, i can eat normally now and i will be trying your recipes. It is great that you have tried many and share your impression. I love doing recipe that works right of way, lol....I never was disappointed with Alissa. She is truly gifted in all she does. We are lucky to have you ((((Renee))))

Hugs to you and i will send more tonight.

Morning everyone!!!! I'm feeling much better this morning! The meds were making me dizzy, so I've decided not to take anymore. I've been on mostly a liquid fast the last 2 days, and really need to get my strength back, so I'm starting the day with a Green Smoothie and some fruit:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_4334.jpg

I always feel stronger when I'm full of fruit. I want some Cantelope too, but I have to go to the store for that, so maybe later.

I want to make Alissa's Pineapple cake since my sprouts are really ready, but I'm gonna take it slowly and fix it sitting down at my kitchen table. Don't worry! I'm not runny any marathons today! But it feels so good not to be in pain anymore!!!

Maybe I should go to fresh juices...I don't know... The only thing that is settling my stomache is the Tea...

Ok.... You guys, I'm actually not doing too well today at all. I need to slow down my recovery and rest some more. I feel like I'm relapsing instead of getting better.

I don't want this thread to be a negative one...I started it to be encouraging and I'd like to finish it that way, so I'm gonna stop posting here until I feel better.

Off to rest... I'll see you all again here soon!!!

Hugs to you all!!!! :hug

If you had general anesthesia, that could take a few days to fully leave your body...and yes, it makes one feel pretty crappy. Get lots of rest, hydrate, hydrate...lots of water and tea will help to flush the medication out of your body. Feel better...much love to you!!!! <3

So sorry you are feeling unwell! :( Definitely probably need both detoxing and healing. Get lots of rest (don't move that furniture! lol). Juicing might help. Include beet, parsley, garlic and ginger, if you can.

All the best! Enjoying your thread.

O.K....my Pineapple Cake is in the Big "D"...should be ready tomorrow, but the fruit I ate REALLY upset my tummy....baddddd!!!! ...

lf you mixed buckwheat sprouts with the pineapple then it is no wonder your tummy is hurting. You would need an iron stomach to handle that, it's a fierce combination not suitable for mere mortals.

The worst combination is sesame seeds and banana. lf you have never tried that, DON'T! l had the banana first and lost track of time, but must have had the banana only 30 minutes before the sesame seeds because the fireworks started. lt was so bad that l still have bad memories of that day many many years ago. l could have actually zoomed to the moon that day under my own power.

Another nasty combination would be to have seeds, nuts, a banana and legumes, and then wash it all down with a nice big piece of watermelon. You could pay me $1,000 to do it, but l still wouldn't. A highly potent weapon of destruction guaranteed to have you laying down in pain cryin' like a little baby for many hours to come.

Actually.....l made a huge mistake the other week. l had my wheatgrass juice and was in a rush, so l only left b10 minutes before l had some fresh pairs to eat. Well...1 hour later l was feeling sick and in agony for the next 8 hours (l couldn't even talk because the stomach pain was so bad). Always wait 20 minutes after having wheatgrass if you are going to eat pairs otherwise you will be brutalised so bad that you will sink to your knees and need to lay down for the rest of the day in pain.

Hi everyone!!!

Thank you do much for all of your hugs :hug and well wishes! I think my recovery is on an uphill swing now. I was able to eat some veggies yesterday. I think my body did need the liquid diet to flush out the Anesthesia and other meds. I was kind to myself and took great care of me yesterday. So I feel up to posting again now!

Hi Mr.Raw...

Hi...I believe that you must have misunderstood what i wrote. The Pineapple Cake was not the reason for my tummy ache. I had just gone through surgery and had been on a liquid diet for days and the fruit pictured above is what upset my stomach, not the Cake. It was still dehydrating and I hadn't had any yet. Any of Alissa's recipes, even the Pineapple Cake from LOLF, would NEVER upset anyone's stomach. She knows all about food combining and her recipes are spot on, believe me. If it would personally upset your stomach, then maybe you shouldn't make it. But, Alissa has several recipes from both books that combines Buckwheat with many other things and I've never had a problem with any of them, including the Pineapple Cake. Interestingly, Buckwheat is actually considered a fruit and so the combination with Pineapple is not a recipe for disaster at all.

Having said that, once i did taste the Cake, its just ok for me. Probably not one of my favorites, but it's ok. I liked the texture of it once it finished dehydrating, but it took a full 2 days to finish and it's still kinda soft in the middle. I only made 1/2 of the recipe, but I imagine if I would have made all of it, I'd be waiting 3-4 days for it to finish...unless I slice it in pieces to help it along. I do like the Pineapple chunks in the middle and the texture:

Thank you!!! :)

Hi everyone,

After a couple of days just taking care of me, I'm ready to get back to doing what I love to do...uncooking! I've just been keeping things simple...mostly water, Tea, fruit, and I made a huge simple Salad:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_8288.jpg

I love that dressing I made a few days ago from Alissa's book! Check the page before this one to see it. Today I marinated some Button Mushrooms to go on the top of my Salad:

http://i517.photobucket.com/albums/u336/Pioneerspiritnee/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_7025.jpg

I think I'll make something new tomorrow. Not sure what I have a taste for, though. I'd like to make Watermelon Soup, but the Watermelon hasn't been very sweet this year and I'd have to sell my 1st born child to buy one!!! LOL!!!!

Glad that you are back and feeling better.

Love mushroom, lol...... When i make a raw pizza for my daughter's lunch i always use up the left over from the mushroom package to make a nice stew with them (raw of course). I just marinate them with olive oil, Himalayan salt for a couple minute, then blend the tomato sauce. I dehydrate it until it is warm. Very good and satisfying. Your mushroom reminds me of that recipe.

Will be checking your post, enjoy making those raw dishes from Alissa's book.

Hey you guys!

Sorry I fell off from posting! I've had quite a tremendously busy couple of days! Things are not slowing down since I'm back to my raw business and I'm trying to prepare my homeschooling kids for the STAAR test, so I'm gonna have to stop just a few days short of my 30 days. I hope that you have enjoyed this glimpse into my life and the way that I eat. I find that what Alissa wrote is absolutely true. As I stay raw, I do eat more simpler and am very satisfied with a meal of fruit, especially in the morning and during the day.

Yes, having a raw business does give me an edge...I absolutely admit that. But, if you look at my other threads, especially the 30 days on Alissa's plan, you will see that I do LOVE to make and eat gourmet raw and living food. I probably always will. But I have definitely seen how simplifying is beneficial for the most part.

Thank you all for the encouragement and support, especially during the week of my surgery! You guys are my family and I am encouraged as much by you as (I hope) I am to you!

Alissa, thank you so much for all that you do and all that you are! Thank you for this site that continues to provide support for staying raw! :hug

Boy, this sure was a LOT of fun!!!!!!

See you all next time!!!
