The last time I did Raw I was super into smoothies and soups. I believe that my body gets tired from eating too much solid food but when I have a soup or a smoothie its like straight nutrition that is already digested. I have a crappy blender and I have wanted a Vitamix for a while. It just so happens that my birthday is this sunday so I have asked my parents for a Vitamix BUUUT I dont know which one to get! There are so many different ones. Recommendations?

The vitamix will make it much easier to get a good start on raw and will make it much easier to stick to. Eating takes far too long for many of us with busy lives. lf l didn't have my vitamix, staying raw would have been very difficult to stick to at the start. You can pack down the food quickly and get full, + it will clean you right out over time.

Blending and drinking down the sprouts may be a bit of a shock for the first week, but it gets easier and easier as time goes along. lf you blend enough you should feel satisfied afterwards and not be hungry. Within a short time (afew weeks) you will need to blend less and less to satisfy your hunger, and that is when great things will start to happen and you will begin to feel free and in control. You are going to be amazed at your transformation if you stick with this (both physically, mentally and spiritually)...you'll be a giant and completely in control. Sprouts are incredible!!!

You are about to live your dream and reclaim your proper birthright, and you'll fly right to the top and never look back. l am so excited for you that i'm not gonna sleep, and i'm gonna have trouble meditating [like last night] because l want this for you so badly.

Cocomamba...you claim your birthright girl! Go sick `em!!! Tear it up, and never look back! This is what dreams are made of, not just dreams, but the dreams to end all dreams, the cream of the dreams...dreams pulled out of the highest of draws...top draw dreams. The magic will happen and you're going to fly to the moon.

Maybe the vitamix 5200 (it has the variable speed dial and the fast blending option).

I'll second the 5200. Although I don't have any experience with the others... I'm very happy with the variable speed knob and the high-low switch's capabilities.

CONGRATULATIONS of getting VitaMix -- what a fantastic gift!!

Thank you Mr.Raw and DebB for your help! Thats what I was thinking of getting. The vitamix website has a lot of choices and a few of them come with a dry grains container. I dont think that is necessary for me but I'm sure it could work for things like nuts and seeds right? I'm also not sure if any of them come with a grider or if I need to buy one separately. Did yours?

DebB, I feel like its an awesome gift too! It was between that or a laptop. I think my health is much more important!

Mr.Raw, your words touch my heart. You really seem to care about the success of others and that makes me feel 10000 times more inspired and motivated! I really love the idea of having most of my meals be liquid. I loved my smoothie experience earlier today. I enjoyed every sip and felt so energized and satisfied after! I didnt blend sprouts (kind of afraid to try!) but I love the idea of maximum health and strength so I will work towards a sproutarian diet. Thank you for your constant, wonderful motivation!

I honestly don't know about the VM grinding nuts and seeds? I'll be honest. I also have a BlendTec and I use it to do the gringing, I haven't tried it with the VM. I know others should be able to answer that question though.

I would have picked the VitaMix over the laptop too!! WooHOO!!

You can buy a special container that comes with vitamix to do dry blending, so you can grind nut and seed into a flour.

Any kind is fine. I had tried many of them. Make sure you have a variable speed and hi speed.

All the best!
