I already posted a thread about candida. I did that before I had breakfast. I just ate a breakfast of pretty SAD food and I am realizing that I just need to be raw again. Please offer some tips on how to stay raw, maybe offer some of your experiences like your meals for a day, your transition from SAD to RAW and anything else you might offer. I need some inspiration so that I can get back to health ASAP. Thanks!

Welcome back :)
You should join in on the 30 day challenge thread again. It's still pretty good for some inspiration and support when starting out!

Cocamamba: l remember last time that l blew you out too much, but l want you to be raw so l will go much easier on you this time and take things slow with you and keep it simple, o.k?
Just concentrate on a few foods at the start. The best thing [l think] is to do the following and see how you go. Concentrate on Having two nice filling meals a day that doesn't take too much work and is easy to eat. So, try this:
* sprout sesame seeds for one meal
* sprout sunflower seeds for another meal and eat with alfalfa sprouts.
Also eat some fruit to fill in any hunger gaps you may have.
Also get some raw powdered kelp and dulse and drink that everyday.
lf you insist on eating raw nuts, eat them sparingly. Concentrate on the sprouted sesame and sunflower for the main meaty meals, but eat the raw nuts when you want a change. lf you want something else, try sprouted mung beans.
l won't say any more for the time being. l know you can do this.

hmmmmm...I feel like more green sprouts would be in order. Grow some sunflower greens as well as sprouting the seeds, and maybe do some wheatgrass as well. The greens are what give you the results, and the results are what will convince you to stick with it.

Very very true, but l don't want to blow her out at the start, l want her to ease into it. The greens are the next step, and certainly the most important step. *wink*

Will that be enough food? I know that too much fruit is not good but I almost feel like thats what made me survive last year when I tried raw. Its difficult for me to eat greens or sprouts by themselves because they dont taste so good. I've always loved your mentality though because you've often said that you just want to eat the food that nourishes you and then move on with life. My life seems to be constantly focused around food. Its like an addiction! I want freedom. Thanks for your constant help!

lf that's not enough, try some lentil sprouts also, and make the amounts of sprouted seed bigger. You will find over time that you won't need much food when you eat sprouts.
lf you can eat the alfalfa sprouts everyday you will find that your taste buds will quickly change and that you will able to easily eat the sprouted mung, lentil and sprouted seeds. Yes, the alfalfa is a very important starting point to train your corrupted taste buds.
Eating the sprouted sunflower and sesame seeds should be relatively easy, but only sprout them 1 - 2 days at most so the flavour doesn't get too strong.
So, try and fill up on those things (sprouts), and for being so good reward yourself with some fruit once or twice during the day. ln that way it will be more bearable at the start. The main thing is not to be hungry, and the second main thing is to try and improve your taste buds, but also to give yourself a fruit reward or occasional nut reward to keep you sane at the beginning.
l could say to have greens with fruit as smoothies, but that is not really the way to go, it is just game playing with the mind and a very bad combination that will bring limited results. Best to train the taste buds properly and reap the rewards of great health. The first few weeks will be the hardest, but it WILL get much much easier, and eventually you won't need much food at all and you will be free of addictions and you will have much more time. See how you go, l know you can do this if you really want it. lf it gets too much, l have another idea, but best to stick with this plan if you can. Try and be strong, but never let yourself get hungry.

Mr Raw: what's your "other idea"?
Cocomamba: I was a raw foodist for many months before becoming a sproutarian (due to reading Mr Raw's posts), and I found that your taste buds will definitely change quickly if you can force yourself to eat the potent sprouted foods. It may not be pleasant for a while, but you'll be thanking yourself for the rest of your life! I thought that I felt great on raw, going sproutarian gave me 10x more energy :woot:
On that note, Mr Raw, I never have thanked you for posting the information that you do...you made a huge change in my life and I'm really grateful that your here sharing your knowledge. I was doing good on a "standard" raw diet, but always felt that something was missing - that something was sprouts.

If the 100% raw thing is too hard at the start, you might want to go 80% raw at the start...eat raw until tea time and then try to finish the night with something else. Try working up to all raw over a period of weeks to make it more bearable, but going raw until the evening can be easily done...just try and get by until you can make the complete change.

l won't talk about it yet because it is not an ideal solution, but if l have to mention it to cocomamba l will grit my teeth and suggest it.

You have made my week. l'm so glad, people are starting to wake up, so l know my work is good work in spreading the real message of health. Our raw food leaders have ALOT to answer for, for leading people up the garden path, and if any raw food leader dare tell their audiences fantasy, l will have no hesitation to shoot them down in flames. l went to a lecture given by a highly respected raw food leader once, and l got on the stage in front of almost 1,000 people and absolutely shot the fellow down in flames so bad that he never recovered...his lecture went downhill from there, his audience lost interest, and many people were asking me questions instead of him after the event. Years later it was proven that he was full of lies and his raw food diet didn't work and made many people sick...l warned him years ago...even to this day he is in denial despite the huge evidence against him. Not that l know that much or am anything special, but l DO speak reality backed up by decent facts and science....l try to give as accurate reflection of the truth as possible, not fantasy talk.
NOTHING beats the sproutarian diet, nothing even gets close. The difference between a sproutarian diet and a conventional raw food diet (store bought produce) is so great that it is like comparing a conventional raw vegan diet with SAD, and quite frankly...it is almost as dead and lifeless. People may feel good eating `so called' dead lifeless store bought produce (clean foods and detox), but there is usually a time when the end of the road comes and people go back to SAD because it no longer works being raw. As long term raw fooders who speak publically...very few people remain raw longer than 5 years, and even fewer remain raw longer than 10 years because it's not sustainable behaviour. The people doing raw well for decades and thriving are the people sprouting their foods as a major part of their diet, but some of the people also eating fresh grown vegetables can also do reasonably well, but it is alot harder because the nutrition isn't enough in the modern day world. Raw vegetables (not an ideal food by any means) might have been acceptable 100 years ago (not ideal, but acceptable), but with all the radiation and pollution and extra stress and deficient soils, super nutritious foods are needed like sprouts, weeds, grasses and water based foods such as sea vegetables and algaes. lf sproutarians occasionally become deficient in various nutrients during times of heavy stress, what hope do other diets have? That's why we need to follow the type of diet l always talk about if we want to be truely healthy and thrive, it's common sense and it works. People probably won't like reading it, but l don;t care, i'm only here to present the reality instead of the fantasy.
Food combining is very very important also, and avoiding blending is highly recommended in the long term.
Quality meditation is also a key thing.
Late edit: gee...it feels good not having to water down my posts for a change. l wish l could talk like this all the time, but l need to keep a fine balance to keep the peace. Not everyone wants to hear this stuff.

Now I'm working to spread the word too, and maybe people will start to listen as more and more of us actually try it out. I noticed that many people disagree with you on this forum (which is fine), but none of them are willing to give it a try...rather close-minded, eh?

Can I pm you and we can talk about stuff more in detail?
Edit - I learned that we can't pm here...I'll give you my email address if you're interested.

The thing about common sense is that it not so common anymore. l really don't understand the nay-saying at all, much of the stuff l say is simple common sense.
Then there was the raw guru l spoke about in the above post. He pushed having barley grass powder everyday and said to drink over 1.5 liters of vegetable juices (50% made from green vegies), but his followers still became deficient and sick, and for good reason. There's many folks that aren't even doing that much on the forums l read, many are blending instead, so you know....

l wonder why the information flow is so strictly controlled?

I never thought sprouts were so important. I believed I could be 100% raw for life without sprouting at all. The concept of sprouting scares me a little. I have never cared much for the sprouts sold in the grocery stores, but I do want to experience all the benefits of the raw food diet, and if people are reporting 10x more energy with adding sprouts, then I feel I should at least try it. Could you please explain to me how to sprout? Thank you.

The grocery store sprouts taste disgusting and some of them are even gassed such as the mung beans. Far nicer to grow them yourself.
