Hey friends,
so last year right around this time I decided to go raw and went about a month before I went back to cooked. I absolutely loved raw and how energized I felt but I was always hungry and that made it very difficult to stick with. I recently found out that I have candida and I am desperate for a diet that will make me heal. I always think about raw because I've never felt bad when I've done it but I need some tips and advice on what foods to eat and if its even possible to fight candida with a raw diet since you cant eat any sugar, which makes the raw food diet even more limited. Anything would help me out tremendously! Thanks for your help!
Peace and love!

Raw brings balance. Candida occurs when there isn't balance. Many had cured this condition on raw food and not depriving themselves with fruits.

Lots of green sprouts and green sprout juices and wheatgrass. Also eat fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, etc, as they will bring balance to your GI tract and replace the Candida. Find some recipes and make your own...its easy and cheap.
The best way to eliminate Candida is to do a colon cleanse, then a liver cleanse, a parasite cleanse, and then do a Candida elimination protocol (probiotics and natural fungicides -such as oregano oil and caprylic acid - mainly). Do a juice fast on strong, fresh green sprout juices if you can, but if your worried about failing and going back to cooked, then just start by eating lots of sprouts and go from there.

It makes me so happy to hear that. I want to get back to health but raw can be pretty overwhelming at times especially if I have to restrict and not even eat fruit. I havent eaten any sugar (even fruit) for maybe 2 months already. The candida may have cleared out but I want to make sure it doesnt come back and am very afraid that starting to eat fruit again would make my symptoms act up. I want to start to drinking green smoothies in the morning. I remember how good it made me feel when I did that last year but they only really taste good with fruit mixed in. I hope that this will not make my candida flare up. Thanks for all the replies! I appreciate the help

HHI also says that fruit can cause problems with candida. There are ways to get rid of it, and yes, a sprout based diet is one of the best proven ways. lt takes a while, but it can be done. l will try and find some good links another day.
Now, if you decide to do a sprout based diet, you might also want to start with fruit as l have said, but when you adjust to the raw diet and you still have problems with candida, then it might be time to leave the fruit out eventually until you overcome the problem.
Doing short term fasts is not the answer, a long term solution is needed, because if habits aren't changed candida will come back. After several years of eating a really good green diet, sometimes folks can eat the less desirable raw foods and be o.k, but always in strict moderation of course.
And yes, freshly squeezed wheatgrass juice is one of the best things possible, maybe even the best thing. The Linusd Pauling lnstitute at the Uni of Oregon has shown that it kills not only every cancer known to man, but every harmful bacteria they tested also.
